🍂 A Magical Afternoon at RainbowLand Art Studio🍁

This Halloween, we’re celebrating the soft opening of our new Downtown Bellevue studio with an afternoon inspired by nature, imagination, and hands-on making.

Little artists will create their own Halloween magic—from handmade wands to autumn-inspired transparent umbrellas. 🪄☂️

While children create independently, parents are welcome to enjoy a complimentary self-guided craft experience in our adult craft room. 🎨

A little taste of Japan, followed by something sweet! 🇯🇵🥭✨

Our first Bellevue Japan Day! Loved the incredible taiko drum performance and all the cute anime finds. 🎌

And of course, we had to end the day with dessert at the newly opened Makkee Dessert! Their Mango Pomelo Sago and Peach Gum Lotus Seed Milk were the perfect sweet treats. Creamy, refreshing, and not too sweet. 🤍

Our baby girl is TWO! Finally celebrated with her very first birthday party, surrounded by so much love, a little extra from big sis. 🥹💗

Our little Bellevue breakfast stop lately ☕️🧇

💗We somehow keep ending up at Hecha Lou when we’re around Bellevue Meta

I usually get the Milk Tea with Yang Jelly, no sugar, and the almond milk jelly or black sesame milk jelly are SO good.

For the girls, it’s usually waffles + the Coconut Sesame Slushy with Sesame Jelly. They’re obsessed.

Honestly, I’m just happy they’re getting a little black sesame in there while thinking they’re having a treat.

One of those little weekday stops that’s become part of our routine.

Rainy Seattle nights call for cozy dinners ☔️🍢

Found a spot where the kids were happy AND the grown-ups actually got to enjoy dinner too — always a win.

We ordered a little bit of everything:
🥩 Braised pork bone — super tender with plenty of meat
🍢 Wagyu skewers — the kids happily ate them plain
🔥 Lamb, beef & chicken gizzards — our must-orders
🥒 Cold noodles with sesame sauce — so good with all the grilled food
🍆 Garlic eggplant — smoky, garlicky, and totally nostalgic

There’s just something about sitting inside with a table full of hot skewers while it’s pouring outside.

Rainy season in Seattle doesn’t seem so bad when dinner looks like this. 🤍

Sketching day at the Seattle Asian Art Museum 🎨

Little moments of happiness as a mom of two 🤍

Watched A-Ma’s Letter and ended up crying my eyes out. The love, loyalty, and connection to home that the older generation of overseas Chinese carried with them really stayed with me. It also reminded me how important it is for my girls to learn Chinese and stay connected to their cultural roots.

Then we found Cilo Lab, @cilolab a new tea spot in Bellevue. A more elevated take on traditional Chinese tea culture? London Fog + Da Hong Pao gelato… who came up with that combination?! And the 25% sugar lychee smoothie from Go Tea was a hit with the girls.

Also met the cutest little babies and their beautiful mama @tokyobellevuemama at the gelato shop. Such a lovely sight — definitely one of those unexpected little moments that makes my day. 🥰

And finally, the last batch of Coral shrimp of the year — so fresh and sweet. 🦐

Nothing extraordinary, just a few little things that made this week feel really good. 🤍

A little hidden gem for a hands-on farm day 🌱🐔

The kids got to see where vegetables grow, play with real mud, dig in the soil, and even grind feed for the chickens.

So much dirt, curiosity, and hands-on fun — such a different experience from a typical farm visit. 🤎🌾

The kind of childhood memories we love making. ✨

🍓 Celebrating 2 Years of Letao Bellevue

Had such a lovely time celebrating Letao Bellevue’s 2nd anniversary! ✨

It was so special to meet the CEO and pastry chef who came all the way from Japan. What impressed me most was how seriously they treat something as simple as a cake. From the ingredients to the smallest details, you can truly feel the Japanese spirit of craftsmanship — the dedication to doing one thing beautifully and thoughtfully.

We also got to experience making our own cakes, which was so much fun! 🍰

And their new Mid-Autumn Festival gift box is absolutely beautiful — elegant, delicate, and perfect for gifting. 🌙✨

The anniversary special, Snow Strawberry, was my favorite. 🍓 Sweet but never overwhelming, with such a fresh and fragrant strawberry flavor. Light, fruity, and seriously addictive!

A little cake, so much craftsmanship. 🤍
