An incredible 3 days that has left my heart and mind so full! 10 days before the event I decided to travel from India to attend this event, because I knew this whole experience in itself was our reward. And WHAT A REWARD it was✨ The most thoughtfully curated event, with connections so intimate and insights so rich, and hospitality so generous - helmed by @imranamed and @priyarao and the entire team of @bof and @businessofbeauty , this was THE MOST enriching event and experience I’ve been too. If you get the chance you should watch the full videos on their website but I’m attaching some really great pearls of wisdom from a few of the sessions (last slides). Met my favourite founder @danessa_myricks who has inspired me so much to lead a brand with true authenticity and kindness. When you meet her you know why just about everyone loves her so much. She truly has the kindest eyes🤍 Last but the most favourite part of this experience was meeting my fellow inaugural cohort of finalists. Each founder’s story has inspired me so so much. Every single one has hustled their way up to building their brands and identity in such a unique way and it’s left me in awe. I made friends for life, and I can’t wait to welcome them to India someday soon :) Thank you again Imran and Priya, you created magic and I’m excited to be back soon next year!💫 Special shout out to @jaelaaliyah, @niamh_ec, @alicegividen @danielakmorosini, @liz_flora and the rest of the BoF and BoB team for their impeccable efforts in making this event so seamless for us!🤍 by @shamika_h

We hit 100K🥹 Early days of @dyou.co was me on Canva designing posts with interesting topics in skincare no one else was talking about. That’s how d’you’s IG account started. And then when we launched the brand with hustle - I got in front of the camera to explain hustle’s formula because my audience was wondering who is this damn brand selling this promising formula for 3200!! So I made videos breaking down the science, the intention and to build trust with the very small audience who was interested in d’you. Founder content was NOT A THING at that time. I was simply a girl eager to science talk and show the genuine intent behind building cool formulas for the Indian market. And somewhere in this journey of 6 years this struck a chord with our community. Our social following on d’you has been built soo slow and soo organically. We are a bootstrapped brand and we’ve never had budgets for massive awareness or top funnel campaigns that usually brings large social followings very quickly for a lot of new brands. We are also a niche brand with a niche type of audience cohort. So hitting this 100K number has been a painstaking journey of the last 6 years. YES WE HIT 100K ORGANICALLY (FINALLY) AND IT FEELS IMMENSELY GRATIFYING LIKE HELL YEAH WE EARNED THIS!!🙌🏻 by @shamika_h
