This year for my birthday, instead of the usual dinner or party, some of my best friends & fam came together to serve in the community ❤️ We volunteered at a local homeless shelter to cook & serve food for some lovely people going through a tougher season.

I wasn’t planning on making a long bday post this year but I felt called to share why this experience was so fulfilling.

The message is this: right now our world needs more love. Every day it seems like there’s another cruel headline or disturbing video filled with hatred and divisiveness. Quite frankly, it feels like part of the human race has forgotten how to act like human beings. Not just here in this country, 🧊 but all over the globe. ❤️‍🩹 I’m sure you know. And if you don’t, then I urge you to peek outside your reality for a moment to see what our society has become numb to.

It’s crazy to think that such madness can still be happening today in 2025. I often wonder how the world is not in more outrage. I don’t think it is because of lack of empathy, but rather the inability to know how to help.

Sometimes I feel the heaviness of the world, as if it’s up to me to change it. Other times I feel guilty for not being grateful enough for the blessings I’ve been granted; precious things like food, water, & shelter.

One simple thing tho gives me unwavering peace: the love of God. 🙏🏼

Some ppl might not understand the gravity of that concept, I didn’t for a while. But now I am comforted by the fact that even if I don’t know how to change the world, I can choose to live my life in a way that glorifies God, sharing the same love to others that He has for all of us.

I’m thankful to be in a position where I could do something like this on my birthday. And I’m especiallyyy grateful to the people in my corner who showed up with me to pull this thing off.🥹

The ability to give & receive love is one of the greatest gifts God ever instilled in us, whether we are aware of it or not. But how much more beautiful this world would be if we all chose to recognize this gift a little bit more in our everyday lives. 🙆🏻‍♀️

I’m 27 nowww. I hope this year is the best yet.

1. Human beings are more alike than we are different, the world just tries to convince us otherwise.

2. You don’t have to be “nice” to be kind.

3. True friends are rare, recognize your real ones.

4. Everyone is someone you can learn from.

5. Holding grudges is poison for you, not them.

6. Health is true wealth, at the end of the day you’ll wish you had more time, not more money.

7. Feeling things deeply is a blessing, not a curse, it just means you’re living the full human experience.

8. You will never regret learning high value skills, start the compound effect sooner than later.

9. Loyalty is a lost trait in today’s society, follow a moral code. Never sell your soul.

10. Being afraid of looking stupid will hold you back more than failure ever will.

11. Trust your intuition. It is very real.

12. There is no “good” or “bad” decision. Own every move you make & adjust when needed.

13. Life is constant growth, don’t stress the end destination, just enjoy the journey of becoming.

14. You must know how to lead yourself before you can lead anybody else. Don’t be a hypocrite.

15. Sometimes the ones you love the most are the same ones who don’t understand you at all, & that’s ok.

16. Self-respect is non-negotiable, if you don’t know your own worth, no one else will either.

17. Don’t take life too seriously, none of us make it out alive anyway. Enjoy the present.

18. Most people are silently struggling, some are just better at hiding it than others. Spread love.

19. Pulling yourself out of your own darkest moments teaches you an unshakable level of confidence.

20. Gratitude is the key to a fulfilling life, even when all odds are against you.

21. People will judge you no matter what you do, so do what you want.

22. You don’t owe anybody anything. Period.

23. Take accountability over everything in your life. It gives you the power to change any situation.

24. Love is always the answer (even though in most sitautions it just feels like a cheesy tagline).

25. Trust in God with everything, & you will always be protected. 🙏🏼
