Back in September, we welcomed a new family member into our home. Meet Sylveon, or Sylvie for short. She's been an absolute love since coming home. We're all quite smitten, including our good boy Balto.

Allergies have been very minor for Leo and my Dad was able to be in my house without a reaction! She's a Bengal from the very wonderful @moonshinebengals. by @shardzofwind

5 years old, how time flies! It was a rough year for all of us with loss, big changes and lots of lessons learned but it was also a year of massive growth and achievement for our smart, sweet (and sometimes sour) little scientist ❤️.

He loves to learn! His favorite topic is science, especially animal and dinosaur related but he's filled with questions and curiosity about anything and everything. He loves to dance (to the beat of his own drum), loves animals of all kinds - especially dogs. We spend endless car rides quizzing back and forth on math problems or spelling challenges and he's a pro with his iPad. He played through his first video game with his Daddy and loves to sit and help us play Content Warning together with our friends.

On Tuesday we said goodbye to our boy. Our Cyrus. Deviation doesn't do justice to the feeling of losing a piece of your life that brings so much light and love. With the sorrow comes the gratitude that for 11 years and 2 months, we had tails wags, puppy kisses, happy yodels and the best nap buddy I could have ever asked for.

You were there for all of our major life events as a couple and family and we'll never forget you, our sweet, goofy, crazy boy.
