Long story short, I’ve been covered in blood AFTER fights in school and out of school, it’s not worth it! I love being able to walk around freely with no more mental strain of I gotta watch my back at all times. Before my child was even born, I made a commitment — and by the time she turned eight, I had kept every single one of them.
• Never a phone at a sporting event
• Never a phone at the dinner table or in a restaurant
• Never a phone during an entire car ride
• Never a phone on an airplane
• Never a phone in the stroller
• Never a phone at an adult or kids’ party

I basically raised my kids like it was the 90s. I’ve always believed that the more you look out the window, the more creative you’ll be later in life. And look, I get it — screens are the new norm, and I don’t judge anyone for how they raise their toddler. Honestly, people like me are now the “bad guys” because apparently we think we’re better (thanks, viral comment sections 😅).

I’m not saying what anyone should do; I’m just sharing what I did with both of my kids. So for everyone insisting she’s going to end up obsessed with screens… trust me, you have no idea what you’re talking about. 😂 When you’ve consistently and clearly told your child, from day one, “You’ll get a phone around eight and these are the rules,” it becomes normal for them. You completely avoid the classic new-generation meltdown over not having a phone. by @shareefallman

I always tell people after writing five books in the last 10 years. The book industry is one of the most secretive, lucrative, depressing industries. You spend hours writing for free and then years trying to get it into the hands of major streaming platforms but once you do, you don’t owe nobody a dollar because you wrote the entire body of work yourself so that’s why it could be very lucrative. DEPRESSION is real! I live through this with my father. This is why I’m so big on SUE prevention! I have a large platform and this is why I always speak on it! I don’t sugarcoat my life on social media. My father ended his life with a gunshot wound to the head. Finding out my boy just passed away on Saturday waking up to that news at five in the morning has had me messed up, but if you know me, I laughed through my trauma. I can speak on the millions of things that was great about my boy, but I know he’d want me to be a mentor for this situation for the people. So in this moment, let’s focus on the real topic.

I’m not gonna make this long, all I’m gonna say is if you’re going through anything you can always hit me up! I’ve been literally in the car with people before they were about to commit SUE I was the last person they decided to call. I’ve been on the phone with people before they took that final step. I’ve lived it myself. I’ve lived through it with my father and I always say this “people smile on social media, but you never know what they’re going through.!! ❤️❤️SHA by @shareefallman
