POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

👋 Hello, new followers! I'm Shari Green, a verse novelist and poet from northern Vancouver Island, BC, Canada -- the traditional territory of the Laich-Kwil-Tach peoples.

📚 My most recent novels are SONG OF FREEDOM, SONG OF DREAMS (ages 12 to adult) and GAME FACE (ages 9-13), and my debut picture book, SAVOR THE DAY, is now available.

💛 I love being out in nature (big trees and ocean beaches are my jam), but I'm also a homebody: cookie-baker, reader, crocheter, musician, novice gardener.

🧑 Married to my highschool sweetheart. Mom, vilomah, former nurse, constantly curious. There's probably a rock in my pocket right now.

Somebody sent a manuscript off to their agent, which means somebody gets to start working on that other thing that's been patiently whispering to them. 😁 (It's me. I'm the somebody.) by @shari_green

Late September vibes. Picked the rest of my tomatoes on Saturday. (Sat night went down to -1, so good call on the tomatoes.) Salsa and marinara are in my future. Ocean medicine. Workshop prep. Beauty everywhere. Savour the day... by @shari_green

Being my own boss may come with lousy paycheques, but being able to take time off to island hop when the urge strikes is pretty great. 😊🌊☀️ #writinglife taken in Rebecca Spit, Quadra Island by @shari_green
