⠀
In celebration of World Architecture Day, a HOWTalk in collaboration with Kaph Books brought together a discussion around Two Thousand Years of Non-Urban History by architects Ali Ismail Karimi and Hamed Bukhamseen, with Sara Al Omran.⠀
⠀
The conversation explored the architectural history of the Arabian Peninsula beyond its cities, examining pre-oil planning practices, from water systems to landscape formations, and how these offer new perspectives on architecture’s relationship with its environment and context.⠀
⠀
The discussion invited us to look beyond city boundaries and discover the stories and knowledge embedded in the region’s landscapes.⁩ by @sharjahhow
