This summer was not good. I don't think anyone will argue that. But I got to take a lot of 115-119 degree baths as an intoxicated insomniac, in which I took ridiculous, sultry photos. When i choose to look back, all I will see is me, still unbroken and feeling myself. Also rocks and candles. These are from the 4th of July 2026 & all I did was boil & light candles. by @sharkiface

SFPL book sale is set up alongside Filipino food trucks today as part of the best farmer-market featuring every kind of person except cops, surveillance spiders notwithstanding. An amazing day out there and proof that all we love happens without and in spite of fascism! Resistance and some assembly required to be sure, but it feels happily pissed off and connected to others, unstabbed backs, boundaries without paranoia or dispiriting gossip, with solidarity, with books, and $2 bags of fresh fruit and veg for all. Plus noise! That part happens tomorrow 8/6 at the The Peacock Lounge starting 8pm, 552 Haight, in SF where it is always all-ages, featuring the firebrand (ff): for real. Don't stay home, get out!

A searing new collaboration between Sharkiface and Ava Koohbor, who met at Mills College in the circuitous course of developing nonlinear pragmatism through electronics, noise, and spoken word, enact resistance, reject fascism and level aim to demolish patriarchy. (ff): make sound as protest, performance as refusal, and noise as a space for collective action. And in this particular instance, it's all going down at the Peacock Lounge!

I’m always fascinated with how much I can do with a very simple set up for a set this long. The last one is a trial at home made with the audio from the show for fun.

This was also the second show in the same week with her. Same setup, different progression.

@sharkiface

Sharkiface is a solo electronic musician and sound artist from Oakland, CA. She uses an interdisciplinary approach to create live textural incantations. Layering live samples, textures, and rhythms, her mostly improvised sets are made with an extremely tactile and rare synthesizer (the Ciat-Lonbarde Tranoe Ambrazier), sampler, and manipulated voice. Sharkiface also plays in the dark wave, synth duo Jeweled Snakes. Since 2000, Sharkiface — a long-time participant in the Bay Area noise scene — has been in projects such as Caroliner, Crack:WAR, Pigs in the Ground, and Tarantism. She also started and co-ran Life Changing Ministry, West Oakland’s noise chapel. “sharkiface’a music is original, dark, hypnotic and uncompromising and beautiful.” RATSKIN Records

So this happened. Prepare for unintended vagueness. Monday night I was struck by the most intense headache, chills,fever, and abdominal cramps. Tuesday I went ER where i spent hours fighting nearly 104 degree fever. They admitted me fearing sepsis, and I spent 3 days getting a 4hr iv of antibiotics every 8 hours- 4 on 4 off. CT scan didn't show enough to identify the exact source. They found some other stuff however. I have to decide what I'm doing with that information. Basically it'll be hard to keep this summer cute. So any girls who wanna river dance hit me up! 1. Me morn 3 of being basted in antibiotics 2. Fever ice pack chicken 3. More seasoning 4.The most uncomfortable bed I've ever seen/touched/heard/imagined 5. Amazing view and the moon peeping at me above the monitor 5. Fashion by @sharkiface
