March is B Corp Month, a time to celebrate being part of a global movement working to use business as a force for good.

At Sharpham, we’re proud to have been the first cheesemaker in the UK to achieve B Corp certification back in 2022, demonstrating our commitment to supporting our community, caring for the land, and producing exceptional cheese responsibly.

🎉 We’re also delighted to share that we’ve recently recertified with an increased score of 98.5. A huge moment for our team and something we’re incredibly proud of.

For us, being B Corp isn’t just a certification - it’s a promise to keep improving, keep questioning, and keep doing better for people and planet.

🫒 The perfect nibbles to complete your cheeseboard…

A great hamper needs a few savoury treats to balance all that rich and creamy cheese! We’ve tasted tested lots, and chosen three delicious snacks for our festive collections, perfect for sharing and nibbling.

🫒 West Country Olives Based in Exeter, @westcountryolives source their olives directly from a family farm in Halkidiki, Greece, before giving them a West Country twist. Their Classic Blend combines green and Kalamata olives with fresh herbs and South Devon rapeseed oil from Bell & Loxton for a local take on a Mediterranean favourite.

🥔 Burts Snacks
Made in Devon since 1999, @burtschips hand-cooks crunchy, thick-cut crisps in small batches, using British potatoes. Their Lightly Sea Salted crisps are deliciously simple. Salt enhances flavour, helping bring out the richness of cheese without overpowering it.

🌿 Mr Filbert’s
Based in Somerset, @mrfilberts has been creating gourmet snacks with distinctive flavour combinations since 2010. Its French Rosemary Almonds bring together the crunch of roasted almonds with fragrant rosemary, and were a clear winner in our office taste test!

We love bringing these brilliant products together and celebrating the independent makers behind them. Our festive hampers are all about discovering great food and drink, supporting local producers and giving something a little different this Christmas.

The day we showed MPs, press, government representatives and key figures from across the food and drink industry the very best of Devon.

Yes, we showcased the outstanding quality of Devon’s food and drink, but more than anything, we demonstrated the collective power of @fooddrinkdevon – through the camaraderie, mutual support and resilience of the people in the room.

A powerful reminder that Devon’s strength lies not just in what we produce, but in the people behind it.

TOTNES is just a short hop across the River Dart from our new cheese dairy, and is even closer to our original home at the Sharpham Estate - so this quirky, fiercely independent corner of South Devon is close to our hearts and where we call home #EveryCheeseBeginsHere

Totnes is a historic market town with a rich food heritage of its own. Ticklemore Street is home to famous cheesemonger, Country Cheeses, and from where our much-loved goat’s cheese ‘Ticklemore’ takes its name.

If you’re heading down this way here’s where we’d go on a day off!

Food Drink Devon is a fantastic, supportive community of like-minded local businesses that we love being part of!

Last night was the annual awards shindig and we were delighted to come home with four awards. But it’s not just about the awards, it’s about being part of something bigger, feeling at home in a room of 400 people and being able to call many of them friends and collaborators.

Thanks to the organising team, incredible chefs, Exeter College students and front-of-house who all made it such a special - and delicious- night at Sandy Park.

🏆 Gold for Rustic and Ticklemore.
🏆 Platinum for Cremet and Washbourne.

Greg and Michael are at Westpoint today for the Farmwise autumn event, sharing their passion for cheese and chocolate making with more than 1,500 schoolchildren! 🧀🍫 
And this half term, Farmwise is coming to the South Devon Food Hub!  
Join us on Wednesday 28 October for a free family fun day, with tractor rides around the farm to meet the cows and see the crops, cooking with local ingredients (including scone making!) and the chance to meet some of the producers behind the food.

These two cheerful cheese men, Sharpham owner Greg and Head Cheesemaker Pete, spent the day in the grand surroundings of Freemasons Hall in London for the annual ‘Meet The Makers’ trade only event, hosted by @harveyandbrockless.

Always a fantastic event, we shared our cheeses alongside over 40 fellow producers, and caught up with folk from around our wonderful cheese community.

It’s October already. Thoughts are turning towards Christmas out there!
