🇭🇺 Budapest HYROX 🖤

First race of the season and definitely one to remember 😂

No PB this time, but honestly felt great out there! Felt good on the stations and was really enjoying the race until my stomach decided to have other plans after the row 🫠 Two emergency toilet trips later and I still managed to get myself across that finish line!

Frustrating because I felt strong and was feeling good, but sometimes things just don’t go to plan!

Had a brilliant cheer squad keeping me going around the course too 🥹🖤

Not every race is about a PB. Another finish line, another experience and plenty to take away from this one 💪🏼 @patrick_coyle84 on camera duty 📸

On to the next 🖤 #hyrox #hyroxbudapest #hyroxhungary #hyroxtraining taken in Hungexpo Budapest by @shaunaruns

Last big session before Budapest 🇭🇺💪🏼

Half sim for me, Patrick doing his own thing 😂

One final big session ticked off before we head to Budapest! Not long to go now 🫣🔥

Finally getting round to trying on a few bits from my @adidastraining haul 🩷🛍️

Starting with the pink Dropset Pros from @sportsshoes (how gorgeous are they?! 😍🩷)

Then onto a few Adidas bits I managed to pick up in the @asos sale! A matching top and shorts set and another two tops, all on sale so obviously couldn’t resist 😂

Also, why is it impossible to get a pair of black Adidas shorts at the minute?! Surely I’m not the only one struggling 😂 #hyroxtraining #runningjourney #adidas #asos by @shaunaruns

Sometimes you don’t realise how far you’ve come until you look back 🥹 From just trying to survive my first HYROX to constantly chasing the next PB 🫶🏼 Still so much more to come 🏃🏼‍♀️💨

Weekend in Gorey with @patrick_coyle84 …..

Started off with a surprise WOD with our coaches Tom & Dena…

We actually loved this session - even if half of it was me trying to keep up 😂😂🔥 (I also can’t differentiate between forward and reverse lunges under pressure)

Not everyday you’ll train with 2 elite 15 athletes

Such a good start to the weekend 🫶🏼 #hyrox #hyroxtraining #teamhogancoaching by @shaunaruns

A little “I definitely needed more gym clothes” haul 🤝🏼😂

Some bits from Myprotein & a few Gymshark sale finds 👀

Apparently we’re dressing for the autumn training era now 🍂🏋🏼‍♀️

What are we keeping? 👀

A little look at my 5.30–9 after my 9–5.30 🤍

September always feels like the month to get myself back into some sort of routine 😂

Straight from work to training, a few extras in the home gym, food shop, dinner made, a little BFA parcel opening 📦 and then FINALLY the face mask was on and I was done for the day 😂🙌🏼

Nothing exciting or perfectly put together, just a very normal evening trying to fit everything in and stay consistent amongst the chaos 🫶🏼

Work, train, eat, reset and do it all again 😂

And of course the BFA bags come everywhere with me at this point 😂

20 Mins of skierg in 1 minute 🫠 The skierg has never been my favourite… and being 5’2 definitely doesn’t help 😂

My coach has added in some optional SkiErg sessions to help me work on it, so I’m actually making an effort to do them 😂 Very glad to have the Concept2 at home now because it makes getting the extra work in so much easier!

Today was 20 mins on the skierg
4 min efforts / 1 min rest
🎯 Target 2:42–2:45/500m
Actual 2:42.7/500m

Still plenty to work on with my form and getting the most out of every pull when you’re working with short girl levers 😂

Still hate the ski… just trying to get better at it 🤝😂 #hyroxtraining #skierg #concept2 by @shaunaruns
