Nithya in Mirage came to me at a time when I needed her the most. She reminded me why I love what I do. She allowed me to fully surrender to a character, immerse myself in the world we were creating, and trust the people I was creating it with.

We filmed this in just two days at the end of 2022, never imagining the incredible, special journey it would take us on, from festivals to audiences across the country. ❤️

For those of you who have been asking, Mirage is FINALLY going public! It releases October 22nd on Film Shortage’s YouTube channel.

Please watch it. Share it. Send it to your friends. Play it in the background if you have to. 😅 Those first 24 to 48 hours really count, and every single view means so much to us.

I can't wait for you all to finally see it. ❤️

Mirage follows a recent widow who arrives America to build a new life working at her cousin Mohan’s highway motel. But shortly after she arrives, she learns everything is not as it seems. This film was made by an incredible team of filmmakers and made possible by @nalip’s Directing Incubator Grant, sponsored by @netflix.

Poster Reveal ✨ Official poster for JĀTI, Sarthwik Bolu’s drama short film. A powerful, affecting story about how the caste system shapes lives, relationships, and professional environments beyond the borders of India.

JĀTI explores the complexities of inter-caste marriage, revealing the emotional turmoil that unfolds when love collides with cultural beliefs. The film examines the struggle for identity and acceptance within families rooted in tradition, shedding light on the consequences of challenging established norms.

My third poster collaboration with Sarth! I’m incredibly happy and grateful of the artistic partnership we’ve built over the past few years. His impactful, poignant, and thought-provoking storytelling continues to inspire me to create work I’m very proud of. by @shavyasamala

We screened Koloveri the night before it released on ETV Win with the help of @lightcamerawomen and the lovely @navyas_portrait
Honestly, it was one of the most fulfilling evenings for all of us.

To sit in that theatre and watch so many of you fall in love with Vikram and Deyyam, root for them was something I’ll carry with me for a long time.

But perhaps the most surreal part was seeing the visuals I had only ever imagined in my head finally come alive on a big screen. There’s something incredibly special about watching a little story that lived in your head for so long finally become real.

Thank you to every single one of you who came and made that evening so special.
And now, Koloveri is yours. ❤️

Instagram has a 20 people tag limit unfortunately! But tagging the rest of the lovely people here 🤍

Biggest thanks to @sasankmuppalla and @dollydstudio for all the wonderful posters of Koloveri and the title illustration ❤️

Big love to everyone that was a part of the team

If I have missed tagging you and you were part of Koloveri, please lmk! ❤️
