Our first look… one of the most intentional moments of the day. Just us, before everything started.

Thank you @bubsop for capturing every part of our day. The full video is everything. I wish I could share the whole thing on here.

If you were at the wedding or on our guest list the full video was sent to you via Zola 🫶🏾

Just a gorgeous day in San Francisco with the McBrewer’s 🕊️

I met Shawntay 3 years ago shooting for @mahalayasf & instantly knew we’d be working together again. It came as no surprise to me when she messaged me saying “you’re my dream photographer I can’t wait to be with you on my wedding day”. The love and blessing between these two is absolutely undeniable. Choked up on words, these two spoke their vows in front of their closest family and friends on the infamous 4th floor of San Francisco’s iconic city hall. With beautiful moments that include her son and brother walking her down the aisle and ending with her father in tears leading them into “I do”.

Shawntay and Quincy, thank you for allowing me the honor of documenting your special day. The whole squad had me ready to party 🍾 taken in San Francisco, California by @shawntay__

6 months as The McBrewers…

And a lifetime to go.
What’s a better way to grow old than with your best friend?

Happy 60th Birthday to the Black Panther Party!

60 years of resistance, revolution, and community!

As an artist, I have so much appreciation for how the Panthers used art to educate, inspire, and challenge systems.

Their legacy is a reminder that art is revolutionary, community is powerful, and there is still so much work to be done.

All Power to the People! ✊🏾

A few days later, and we’re still feeling the love. 🥹💗🇵🇭🙌🏽

After taking a moment to catch our breath, we’re looking back on the magic of our 6th Annual Magkaisa 916 Filipinx American History Month Celebration & Night Market!

Maraming salamat to everyone who showed up, shared their talents, supported local businesses, volunteered their time, and helped us celebrate Filipinx history, culture, and community right here in the 916.

To our vendors, sponsors, performers, volunteers, community partners, and everyone who came through — YOU are what makes Magkaisa special.💗

Hanggang sa muli, mga kaibigan! 🇵🇭✨

This past week has been one of the busiest and most rewarding weeks I’ve had in a LONG time!

From Halo Halo, to Waves of Reclamation, to @toimagineandachieve’s first-ever “Witches of the River” float! It’s been a week full of art, culture, community, love, and even a little rest in between.

I couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful and fulfilling week. My heart is so full! Thank you to everyone I had the opportunity to share space, create memories, and build community with this past week. I don’t take any of these moments for granted.

And just like that, we’re onto another busy week! Sacramento Design Week is here, and there’s SO much happening with TIAA! I’m excited for the opportunities, connections, and everything we have coming up.

Tired? A little. Grateful? ALWAYS! by @shawntay__

Waves Of Reclamation was such a fun experience, and great way to end the 2nd Saturday season while highlighting Filipino American History Month.

The moment Mama C saw her portrait, was everything.

Creating this portrait of Mama C and Baba Pete at the Shakur Center, both members of the Black Panther Party was an honor, but witnessing Mama C’s reaction and hearing the history behind the reference photo made it unforgettable.

Then Ms. Asali Dixon, another Black Panther Party member, arrived. Standing beside these powerful women with both pieces of artwork I created for them was an honor I’ll never forget.

Asali called me her “Favorite Artist,” again. 😭🥹

As a Black artist, honoring those who paved the way and preserving their stories is a blessing.
