I'm not taking on holiday commissions this year, BUT... I'd love to find someone interested in having me custom paint this deer skull!

I can personalize it in just about any style, color palette, or theme you'd like. It could make a really unique Christmas gift for a hunter, or a cool statement piece for a cabin or anyone who loves Southwestern-inspired decor.

If you or someone you know might be interested, let's talk!

(This skull was legally obtained, and I have the tag to verify it.)

What an incredible experience today at the Surround Sound Bath with @sirilorece and @randyleasmanmusic!

The experience begins with a mindful message, inviting you to slow down, become present, and reflect before flowing into an immersive sound experience. It's relaxing, grounding, intentional, and deeply thoughtful. There's something beautiful about giving yourself permission to simply exist in the moment.

During the session, I had a vision of life as a flowing river, with each of us like little fish, carrying our own unique spark of light. Sometimes we swim with the current, sometimes against it. Our paths cross, we drift apart, and we find our way back into the same flow. Each of us moving at our own pace, yet all part of something greater.

That vision became this painting, created intuitively over the hour as I let the sounds guide my brushstrokes. A little reminder that we each carry our own light, even as we move through the same waters.

I'm so grateful to have been part of this beautiful exchange of sound, art, and human connection!

If you haven't experienced one of these sessions, give @soundandsalutations a follow! ✨ by @shaylarayart

This painting has been “looking” for a home for a while! 👁️

“Secret Worlds Called Eyes” is an original 11×14 acrylic on canvas... and definitely one for my fellow lovers of colorful, weird, whimsical art. It’s bright, a little strange, and ready to hang somewhere it can keep an eye on things.

Interested? Send me a message! 💜

I usually hop on the @inktober prompts, but I’m getting a late start this year. Saw tomorrow’s prompt is “Cactus” and immediately got this weird idea to make a cactus jackalope. 🌵🐇 So… here we are.
It’s been a while since I’ve just sat down with some pen and ink and let myself make something weird.

POP-UP LIVE PAINTING TOMORROW NIGHT at the absolutely fascinating Ecdysiast Arts Museum in downtown Davenport! 🎨

This place is unlike anywhere else in the Quad Cities; a museum, archive, performance space, and gathering place dedicated to preserving the history, artistry, and stories of burlesque and the art of the tease.

I can’t wait to see what this atmosphere inspires in me. Come watch the painting evolve in real time, wander through the museum, and soak up some unique Quad Cities art + history.

There will be several local artists scattered throughout downtown Davenport for the evening, so make a night of it and go find some art. 🖤
