Happy birthday my Egyptian queen, Ishay!

On this sacred day of your precious human birth, the world was graced with a miracle. You chose to return, like a good little bodhisattva, and in so doing you charted a course to find me once again. It is my great honor to spend this timeless window in time celebrating you.

To know you is to love you. To kiss you is to taste divine nectar. To dance with you in all the ways feels like a dream I dreamed one afternoon long ago.

You inspire me in ways beyond comprehension. From the way you love first and ask questions later, to the way you listen and reflect the truth of what I need to hear. You have this elegant way of illuminating clarity inside the clouds of my confusion, helping me remember who I AM in the midst of my forgetfulness, and making me laugh at the absurdity of it all.

For this, among so many things, I am forever grateful to call you my wife...and the mother of my child!!! WOWOWOW, we’re about to embark on the adventure of a lifetime. I feel beyond blessed to walk this path of parenthood by your side, to build a family on the solid foundation of deep integration, and to guide this beautiful child alongside your boundless wisdom and infinite heart.

I wish for this new cycle around the Sun to shine ever brighter light on the brilliance you channel, the love you embody, and the bodhichitta you incarnated to realize. I am forever in support of this and every aim you hold dear.

Here I stand at the Temple of Isis,
Divine feminine magic is what she symbolizes…
To be here with baby growing inside my womb,
Is beyond what my logical mind can consume…
All I can say is:
MAKE ROOM for the mystery,
Leave space for the grace,
And remember your body is the most holy place.🌹

The second slide shows the room where, for the past two years, I prayed for clarity as to whether or not I am meant to become a mother in this lifetime. Go figure, this year the room is roped off. Prayers answered. Done and done.✔️🪄

What a beautiful weekend in the Berkshires at Kripalu for the Return to Self Women’s Retreat 🌿 Auspiciously, as the season turned to autumn under a full moon, it was a powerful time to gather on this nourishing land. Grateful to @shaynahiller for sharing your wisdom and for inviting me to co-lead and sing songs from the heart✨So happy @chaska_potter could join us spontaneously, I love harmonising and playing music with you ✨ Deep bow to @kripalucenter and the whole team for such a healing few days, and to everyone who showed up, shared openly and supported one another. In my mid-twenties, I stopped getting my period as a result of an eating disorder. My doctor mentioned that, because of what I was putting my body through, I could be experiencing early menopause.😱

To be honest, it didn’t really faze me at the time. I never envisioned myself as a mother, though in retrospect that was likely due to being so disconnected from my body, my cycle & my feminine essence.

Through embodied self-love practices, I was able to restore my womb health & fertility naturally. The truth is, my pregnancy journey has felt guided by some higher force… and perhaps that force is this precious soul, quietly orchestrating the perfect circumstances to find its way earthside.😇

While my spiritual quest began as a path of ascension and transcendence, I’ve realized that what goes up must come down. There’s something about bringing the ‘light’ all the way into matter - grounding it, and ultimately giving birth to it through my own body, that feels like an essential next step on my healing journey.

All I have to say is:

❤️Miracles are real.
🧡Things don’t need to take ‘time’.
💛Expect the unexpected.
💚Your body knows how to restore balance.
💙Pray every day.
💜Trust, trust, trust…

A couple weeks ago I gave a talk titled: 𝙋𝙡𝙚𝙖𝙨𝙪𝙧𝙚: 𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝙂𝙪𝙞𝙡𝙩-𝙁𝙧𝙚𝙚 𝙂𝙖𝙩𝙚𝙬𝙖𝙮 𝙩𝙤 𝙏𝙤𝙩𝙖𝙡 𝙁𝙧𝙚𝙚𝙙𝙤𝙢💋

If you were to tell me when I started my wellness coaching business 18 years ago that it would evolve to include pleasure & intimacy, I would have rolled my eyes and shied away in shame.🙄😳

But over the years, I’ve come to understand that these foundational aspects of life aren’t separate from our overall health & wellbeing. Our capacity for pleasure, connection, sensuality & intimacy can deeply influence how we experience our bodies, regulate stress, enhance creativity, access prosperity & ultimately experience this precious gift of life as fully & fulfillingly (is that a word?) as possible.❤️‍🔥

I would have loved to have put a sexier video at the end but that is *the point*, my friends.

My love and I are in a season not particularly made for viral hot reels… but no less real.

My most alive moments have been when I have leaned back and received the moment, and myself, as we are.

A couple years ago, my friend @shaynahiller and I hosted a workshop called the Sex Anxiety Clinic. It was an outlandish success— we had 200+ attendees, and loads of testimonials (will share on a day that is not my bday!)— and we thought, “damn. We need to do this again.”

Then I got pregnant and a bit after that Shay got pregnant too.

And now sex hits different.

Our bodies changed. Our priorities changed. The conversations changed.

4.5 months of new life in my womb,
I’m beginning to feel the Divine Mother bloom,
In my bones and my heart and my DNA strands,
In my soul and my mind and the palms of my hands…
While I bask in these sands and the warm summer sun,
I feel awe for the oven just as much as the bun.😎

Literally suspended is sacred shock each and every moment of each and every day, especially as I feel my belly growing and making way for this soul to come into form. I know it’s the norm, it’s how we all came to be… yet having it happen in me truly feels like the most miraculous mystery.💫
