I continue to be amazed at how incredible an athlete @shazrine is. I’m so proud of her and those who paced her to a second place finish at the Chicago Marathon. And of course always so proud of the LOML @haasruns for coaching them to success. taken in Chicago, IL by @shazrine

Chicago, you were an experience like no other! ❤️💙

The crowds, the energy, and the support out there were incredible. I had the best time racing your streets, and I couldn’t be prouder of how I raced. A shiny new PB makes it even more special — I still can’t believe it! 2:14:07!🥹🤗 It’s only just starting to sink in, and my very sore legs are a pretty good reminder of that 🤪

This wouldn’t have been possible without my two teammates, Tony and JT. Thank you for pushing me to my limits, believing in me, and helping me bring out the very best in myself.

I’m so grateful to everyone who has been part of this journey and supported me throughout this build-up. To my sponsors, @underarmour, @maurten_official, @garminrunning, @probionutrition, and @teamtotalathletics, thank you for believing in me and being part of this journey.

To my family, my mum, my coaches, my physios, and the entire support team, thank you for all the love, sacrifice, and hard work that happens behind the scenes. To my bf❤️ thank you for always being in my corner and for being the best support.

This achievement belongs to all of us. I’m incredibly proud of what we’ve achieved together. This PB means more than just a time — it’s a reminder of all the work, belief, and support that brought me here. 🙏🏾

Thank you, Chicago, for the energy, the love, and a day I’ll never forget. Until next time! 🫶🏾

Eighth-fastest woman in marathon history. 🤯

A massive PB for #GarminSponsoredPro @shazrine with an incredibly well-executed 2:14:07.

Training Readiness said she was ready. She more than proved it. Proud to be part of the journey.

HISTORY WAS MADE IN CHICAGO 🤯

The 2026 Chicago Marathon marked the first time in history that three women finished under 2:15 in the same marathon.

Reigning champion Hawi Feysa defended her title in 2:13:33, becoming the fourth-fastest woman in history. Sharon Lokedi followed with a personal best of 2:14:07 in her Chicago debut, moving to #8 on the all-time world list.

Brigid Kosgei completed the historic trio in 2:14:55, becoming the first woman in history to break 2:15 on three separate occasions.
