Wanted this to have a spot on the feed for my memories.🖤 He’s been teaching himself guitar this year, and it’s been so much fun for me. He’s loved learning, and I’ve certainly loved listening. Happy 18th Birthday, Carter! 🎂🎈🎉

I cannot believe we are here. Eighteen years sped by in a flash, and they have been filled with SO MUCH JOY and SO MUCH FUN because of YOU.💙 We feel so incredibly grateful that God picked us to be your parents, and we have been proud of you every single day. We are in constant awe of how kind, loving, respectful, hard-working, and ambitious you are.

This dinosaur-loving little fella starts his SENIOR YEAR this week. 🎓❤️ And I’m sorry, but HOW!?!

We’re heading into a year full of football games, senior traditions, ranch trips, time with friends, lots of fun, big college decisions, and all of those “lasts” that come with the final year of high school.

More than anything, I’m just praying that this is the best year yet for him! That he keeps growing in his faith and trusts God with what comes next. ❤️🙏

We cannot believe it has been 1 year since we’ve snuggled our big guy.❤️‍🩹🥹 Picking 20 pics for this post (from probably thousands we have) was nearly impossible, but even just these few pics show just how much he was loved. 20 memories from his first days with us to our last family walk. A huge thanks to a teammate’s dad for getting this video of Carter’s goal last night!⚽️🎉 The goal was an awesome surprise because Carter has played defense all year, but Coach let him go in on offense at the end of last night’s game. And I have to say my favorite part of this video isn’t the goal, it’s the teammates all celebrating together after! Merry Christmas from my family to yours!🎄❤️🎄

This year we find ourselves so grateful for all of our blessings, even though this was definitely one of our most difficult years. We had some unexpected health issues and some big losses, with one of our hardest times being the loss of our precious Buddy. 💙 We still feel his absence so deeply and know a part of our family will always be missing, but goodness we are so thankful that Charlie made it through his health scare and is still with us.💙 (Scroll to see some of our Christmas cards through the years with sweet Buddy.)

I know many of us have had hardships and difficulties this year, and I know the holidays can amplify both joy and sadness, so we are wishing all of you all sorts of JOY and LOVE this holiday season.

Please know that we are so incredibly grateful to all of you for your love, your kindness, and your support year after year. Y’all are a gift to me!🥰

And as always at Christmas, I find myself the most thankful for the baby that was born in a manger, that lived His life among men, and then gave that life so that we may spend eternity with Him. What an incredible gift!🌟🙌🏻✨ And we know it’s because of Him that we are able to make it through when we do have difficult times.
