A very different water ripple mood with the imagery being used for the Autumn Art Fair at the Landmark Arts Centre in Teddington in 10 days time (16-18th October). I'll be there (stand 22 - far aisle near the cafe) selling my impressionistic botanical prints, including this one called Glowing Curtain. Entry is £5 on the door (£4 concessions), but if you go online to pre-book tickets you can use the code 241ARTFAIR to get a Two-for-One ticket for over the weekend. This is just for pre-booking and can’t be used on the door.

I’m lining up a few flower paintings for the Autumn Art Fair 16-18 October at the Landmark Arts Centre, Teddington. There’ll be 70 artists exhibiting including fellow artists Jocelyn Horsfall and Marcus Carrigan from Sheen Artists - and we’d love to see you there! 241 entry when you book with the code 241ARTFAIR and it all kicks off with the Private View 5.30-8.30pm on Fri 16th and then 10am-5pm Sat and Sun 17-18th. Paul Hannon is exhibiting his linocut, ‘Hammer Thrower’ at the Festival of Print, which opens today.

Paul won the G.F Smith prize at the exhibition last year. One to watch!

OCTOBER MEET THE ARTIST!

It’s a new month and we are delighted to introduce a new member to Sheen Artists.

In this months edition, Melanie Hobbs reveals what led her into painting and how her career in film influences her way of working;

‘Edit edit edit, something you can easily do with abstract art, but you do have to know when to stop. Usually one of my paintings has been at least 7 versions before I have stopped’

Back in April, we ran a free children’s workshop @hare_hounds , as part of @sheenarttrail_

The fantastic penguin artwork is now on display at East Sheen Library. The perfect home!

Also, please take a moment to appreciate the music choice in honour of the wonderful Dolly Parton and her huge contribution to children’s literacy through her @imaginationlibraryuk

Libraries are such a fantastic resource and can foster creativity. We are so lucky to have them!
