🇵🇸 Lubna is doing a live press conference today (Friday) at 11am

Following the Green Party's historic vote to declare Zionism racism, a media storm has erupted. Green MPs and commentators have criticised the motion, but the voices of Palestinians has been largely ignored.

Now it's time to hear from Palestinians themselves.

Lubna Speitan, who proposed the motion, speaks publicly for the first time since the controversy began. She is joined by Dr Ghada Karmi, journalist Ahmed AlNaouq and Palestinian Youth Movement organiser Yara El-Issa, Adnan Al-Sabah - Coordinator of One Democratic State Campaign (uk) to discuss Zionism, Palestinian dispossession and the importance of respecting the democratic decision of Green Party members.

Chaired by Ashok Kumar, Associate Professor of Political Economy.

We are really lucky to have Joe Haddad, a Palestinian comedian, coming to Sheffield to perform his one man show about the conflicts of identity growing up in South London. Funny and poignant he is performing for one night only on Sunday 25th October .

You can buy tickets here:

Joe answered some questions about himself and his art for the SPaCE website
