A little quiet here lately, I know. Good things kept me busy, and posting, well it slipped away.🧡

This is 'Calypso'.
When a large white pearl spoke to me, so did a glossy onyx that happened to be lying on my workbench. I never planned them together. ⚫️⚪️They ended up in one ring by coincidence.

That is often how I work: led by surprise, but it can also be something more serious that won't let go of me..
Calypso is just one of the surprises and also belongs to being one of my more elegant rings. She is a keeper.

What drives me isn’t a plan, it’s just a need to express myself, and with it comes creating an image. Because through an image you show what you create or do. Logics right? And 😉

My jewellery might not be for everyone, but it is to me. I create what I want to create: a unique jewellery style by using my own invented techniques 🙌🏻

About my photos, I have been shooting many for years, and lately I have been deleting a lot, as my cloud is clogging up.

I did so many quick projects, in the village, on my terrace, on a mountain, in a city, with a friend, in my hand, or in a light box, but then you realise that stones need real light!

So there you have it: photo after photo, album after album, and when you find yourself buying more cloud space, it gave me stress in itself.🤭🫣😂because imagine when having to chose photos each time out of so many📸

Obviously I’m grateful for all the shoots done by others and I would never delete any photo by Giuseppe♥️ Photos by @GiuseppeBini.ph

But deleting many of my own feels heavenly. 🕊️ ☁️🌁

Back to Paris together! 😍

My hubby and me did many tours around the Arc d’ Triumph when he was working in Paris, years ago. We lived in France for years, right alongside our London life.
I also experienced France often with my parents when I was young, as my father was a wine professional..
It’s special to be back although we haven’t visited much over these past years.

Some impressions.

Today’s excuse: delivering my jewellery to @Giuseppebini.ph.
Can’t wait to see his poetry, and my jewellery imagined.

I’ve not been the best friend around lately, either in person or online 🤩🙈

Truth is, I’ve been buried behind the scenes getting all my work in order in a more effective way (finally), because apparently even artists have to become a bit of a business at some point. I fought that idea for years, really. I've had t deal with some hurdles on this special path of mine, but things are clicking as we speak.

I always asked myself how any true artist is able to run a business? 🫣Oh, well. You live and you learn and it turns out you can’t outrun it forever, especially with the amazing clients I get to work with from all over the world.

And more help is at hand.🙌🏻

Webshop updates are coming, featuring all of my one-off jewels that finally getting a proper listing — weights, measurements, photos, so many details for each piece before it goes out to live its life. Not all my work will be seen at the same time, that would be simply impossible, just ask me what I have in stock.
And I’ve been doing all of this alongside being at the gallery in my village, working on jewels for clients, no time for exhibitions -some I even had to cancel from my diary-, but two remain and they are up in Autumn. Let’s just say balance is still very much a work in progress. 😅

But here’s the thing about slow periods — they truly make me grow quietly and I clearly made more jewellery over the years than I realised…

More soon. Thanks for motivating me. You know who you are. ♥️

Some random and honest photos from right now at the gallery, amongst it all.

These beautiful photos that Giuseppe took for me, with the most amazing people, over the years, says it all. Pure poetry, style, love and depth, respect for each-others skills.

A man's body, too, can hold a piece of jewellery the way a wall holds a painting — not decoration, but a frame for something that was already there. A collarbone is a collarbone. Beauty doesn't check identification at the door.

I think I see it this way because of how I was raised. In the carousel, you'll find Colette — the nephew of my mother, who became a woman in the early sixties, one of only a few in Europe to do so at the time, in Casablanca, under the care of Dr. Georges Burou. My family never made it complicated. It simply was who she was.

I was lucky to grow up that way, being surrounded by mostly good people who met life with openness instead of judgment. It shapes you, often without even realising it.

I am not endlessly soft, though. I have a strong sense of justice, and I can be painful to many. But today, this post, is about the openness I was given and how grateful I still am for it. Life is mostly about respect and appreciation to me, real people, real connections.

Im a jewellery artist, and I love what I do 💍✨ Every piece in this carousel is mine — created using my own techniques, each piece has a signature style, and I photographed, edited, and post all of
It, everything is done by these two hands.
There are no two pieces alike, but maybe things have to change, who knows..
But to create one-of-a-kind jewels, still excites me every single day.

But there are more downsides each day.. Let’s talk new packaging rules in Europe for a second 📦

Shipping across Europe has gotten a lot harder lately. New EU rules mean small businesses and jewellery artists like me now have to register and pay packaging fees in -each- country we ship to! The big warehouses pay the same fees, but they're shipping thousands of parcels a week.

I'm not against the why Packaging waste is a real problem, piling up in places where you don’t want to find them, as the rivers and the seas are suffering and much of it comes from mass-produced goods where no one's thinking twice about what they use, throw away quickly or where it ends up. I get it, and I wholeheartedly support the goal.

I just wish the weight fell more on the companies creating that volume, and less on people like Eme — one person, one workshop, one box at a time.

These rules are brand new, and honestly, everyone's feeling the growing pains right now. So I'm asking for a little patience while I work out the best way forward. In the meantime — the jewels keep coming, because for now I cannot stop.

I create one-of-a-kind jewels on purpose — I need to follow my own flow, and I like that no two pieces are ever the same. It's challenging in some ways, but it always seems to work out: someone falls for something on my feed, and it turns out that exact piece has already sold... I like it when we find a good flow together for that client.

When a stone catches my attention, or when something that is happening in the world moves me, I have to create. But it can also just be about plain beauty — each piece is simply different.

Call it obsessive. I like it.

Swipe through 👉 some are quiet, some are loud, none of them are truly shy...
