kumatcha secret 2 👀 is now one of my favs at hindi pa ‘to released?!?! @kumatcha.co 😭🥹 ily guys wth this is SO GOOD 🥲🫶

secret 2 is literally an umami forward matcha with nuttiness just shining through. it’s creamy, smooth, and naturally sweet (kahit hindi na mag sweetener). no bitterness or astringency— MY TYPE OF MATCHA FR 😞🧚

have tried secret 1 and i personally enjoyed secret 2 more! can’t wait for the secrets to be officially released tbh bc i’ll definitely secure myself a tin. glad to have gotten this during the manila matcha fest! HEHE 🫶

this is the newest addition to their matcha powders and it’s sourced from Yame, Fukuoka, Japan! 👀 iykyk (and it’s priced at PHP 825 only?!)

yame matcha’s known to be NUTTYYYY and this definitely is! it tastes rich with subtle umami notes. has a natural sweetness with minimal vegetal notes but literally SO nutty 🌰 it’s also light to medium bodied depending on your ratio.

i tried this last month at their maru matcha day event and happy to open this now! i honestly loved this at first try and i love how complex this is.

i remember this having no bitterness (even as an usucha) but when i made it again with oatmilk (oatside) that note was a bit evident, but not in a bad way. still compliments well all together!

also tried it with full cream and half and half, it also works really well with it. would reco experimenting with milks too! but overall i love this nutty matcha powder and i see myself repurchasing it.

ps. this was kindly gifted to me but all thoughts are my own. but so thankful for maru!

this is a balance of grassy, vegetal with mild umami! there’s slight astringency and bitterness when prepared as an usucha but as lattes, the notes compliment well. also adding a bit of sweetener balances the flavor. 🧚

finished my @nio_japanese_green_tea’s oishi saemidori and it’s such a bittersweet moment!

i LOVE every drink i made with this powder and i’ll surely miss this one. it was so good for everyday drinks and i love that i got to share this with friends, too!

i’m always a sucker for nutty and velvety smooth matcha! this is super creamy and umami. i love how it’s a balance of grassy with the nuttiness just shining through.

has little to no bitterness but with slight astringency which i don’t mind. perfect for everyday lattes if you want to definitely elevate your matcha drinks!

tbh, i don’t really need sweetener to this anymore. such a balance and amazing drink!
