Welcoming the weekend with the last 4g of my favorite hojicha: Kai. 🤎 Dark-roasted, finely milled, and never gritty, it has a deep chocolatey flavor that feels warm and comforting without turning bitter. I’ve been saving this final serving for a while, and now I’m already wishing I had more. 🥹 🤎 kai @shopnokori 🧊 gifted by my lovely sister @sukito.ph 🌼 gifted by my lovely baby sis @sheinesips #matchalove #matcha #hojicha #fyp

Opening Yame no Mukashi from @wakokorotea ♡ This was such a satisfying matcha to come back to. From the first sip, Yame no Mukashi is smooth, creamy, and beautifully balanced. Grown in Yame, it is marked by a dominant nutty profile with a hint of pleasant vegetal aroma. With moderate umami, it has a soft natural sweetness that makes it very easy to enjoy. As usucha, the nutty profile still dominates along with gentle savory notes. There is only a mild bitterness toward the finish. It also holds up beautifully with milk. The creaminess becomes even more noticeable as a latte, while the matcha flavor remains present instead of disappearing completely. I enjoyed it without any sweetener, but I think it would also pair well with subtle flavors. Overall, Yame no Mukashi is not an aggressively bold matcha, but it has enough depth and umami to feel satisfying. Nothing feels too sharp or overpowering, just the kind of matcha I can easily reach for every day. In fact, I’m almost finished with this tin in just less than a week. 🍵🥰 You can use my code PAULA to save when ordering from @wakokorotea. 💰✨ 🍵 yame no mukashi @wakokorotea 🥛 @originalbonsoy Chasen charms @her_matcha_ Glass @anthropologiehome Scale @timemoreph Kinu beads @kinustudio.ph Sieve @kinustudio.ph Coaster 🌼 gifted by my lovely little sis @sheinesips This matcha was kindly gifted, but all thoughts are my own and based on my personal experience. #matcha #matchareview #matchalove #wakokorotea #fyp
