DISCOVER THE ART OF MAKING in aid of Project Flamingo!

A morning of creativity with a cause. Join KAMERS/Makers in support of Project Flamingo, helping women in state hospitals access timely breast cancer surgery, scans and care.

On Friday, 30 October, meet the people behind the things we love as we explore their craft, creative journeys and how a business gets built. This special morning also launches our Make Room for Her summer house at the show.

Hosted by Izelle Venter, CEO of Media24 TV & Video, the conversation brings together:

* Jan Hendrik van der Westhuizen: Michelin-starred chef, on the making of a plate.
* Dr Liana Roodt: founder of Project Flamingo, on the difference Make Room for Her makes.

The art of setting the table!

After watching millions of 'tablescapers' on social media over the years it was time to try our hand at it with a massive celebratory feast for the participants of the shell auction!

We where thrilled to roll out all our beautiful jacquard linens, Anthony Shapiro collab candlesticks, as well as a 50 piece plate and side plate Shellegance hand made and painted plates (need to find these guys a great home!)

Lots of lovely friends offered to help but this was definitely something I needed to do for myself 🤣 it was totally OTT!
I loved every minute! Tables where laid a full day before the incredibly brilliant @chefollie stepped into the kitchen! (More on him later and the rest of the soiree! )

Candles and tablecloths etc all available in my shop.

But actually today is also LAST DAY OF RHE AUCTION! Closing at 5 pm TONIGHT!

🐚Thank you to the artists ! 🐚
Time with you in studio together was my tonic this year! I cherish every single CRAFTERNOON! I highly recommend getting together with creators to just play and make stuff together!

PLAY is probably what gave us our careers as artists and creators and after years of grinding it is so wonderful to have woven play (FOR ME!) back into my work life! There are a few artists not pictured here because the play date flew by and I forgot many times to take pics along the way!

Please support the fruits of our playtime! Our incredible auction for @iamwater_foundation goes live this Tuesday and runs till Sunday 5 pm only
All of the profits are going to the amazing work I am WATER does introducing our next generation to the sea! It is the perfect outlet for Shellegance philanthropic aspirations!

🌊 Friends of Shellegance AUCTION for I am water Foundation! 🌊

Our most thrilling event of the year is approaching! After countess wonderful CRAFTERNOONs with 53 incredible artists and friends we are almost ready to go live with a collection of 56 unique shells painted with love by this powerful collection of artists! 100% of the profit going to the @iamwater_foundation

There is lots to unpack over the following week so please follow and share our stories!

The auction will go live on our website in a week:
7 pm on Tuesday 6 October and closes 5 pm on Sunday 11 October

Greetings from the soulful home of Shellegance. It's where my family has grown up swimming,surfing, Braai ing and collecting shells. It's a very old family beach house at the end of a very dusty dirt road. Things happen slowly here or not at all. This year there is much progress we are now connected to electricity 🤣🐚 and there is a beautiful stove! Thanks to my uncles and mom!

I hung this collection of shell shocked shells above the sink so that whoever the washer upper of the night will have something beautiful to look at. taken in Cape Infanta by @shellegance

Essen-SHELL Collection ?
Anyone for some beige?

For this unusual release we've tried out something I've been thinking about for a long time plain minimalist shells with lively shapes and texture but simply in different clay colours

As you know I am a bit of a maximalist and love to cover everything in patterns and colour but I have to admit this lot is very very nice! Gentle and can fit in absolutely everywhere!

Honoured to be displayed so wonderfully in the glamorous colourful and marvellous world of @moniomidesign ! This power team have opened a fabulous showroom in Miami last week it's Calle @lasalamoniomi so please if you are visit for meeeee! I would love to walk through these warm spaces and all the eye candy interior dream objects! WE JUST LOVE IT ALL! And so grateful to adorn your walls!

We welcome our first ceramic FISH collection in Shellebration of World ocean day 2026
🐟🐠🐡🐟🐠🐡
We have chosen to test a new format for these special creatures, an Auction!
Please place your bids between the 8th June and close at Midnight on Sunday 14th June (GMT+2, South African Time)

World Ocean Day is an international day that takes place annually on June 8. The international day supports the implementation of worldwide Sustainable Development goals and fosters public interest in the protection of the ocean and the sustainable management of its resources. World Oceans Day is observed by all UN member states.

In order to make meaningful contribution towards World Ocean day, we have chosen to keep the reserve price of each fish for our studio and donate all profit above the reserve price to our friends at I am Water Foundation, who perfectly and locally reflect the values of world Ocean day: Ocean Conservation through transformative experiences for youth in under resourced communities.

We are a little bit in love with these new creatures on our walls!
Each Ceramic Fish has been individually cut and shaped by Senga Van Wyk, hand painted by Lucie Demoyencourt and wired with brass wire by George Magaso.
