IN GOOD HANDS | Design Week Cape Town 2026 Who carries South African design forward? A legacy is only as good as what we do with it. Skills can disappear in a generation. A family business can survive by changing the very thing that made it. And a beautiful idea needs people, conviction and a viable business to become something that lasts. As part of Design Week Cape Town 2026 @designweeksouthafrica, Wunders and Cape Cobra invite you to join us for a candid morning conversation with Justine Schäfer of @capecobraleathercraft, Lucie de Moyencourt of @shellegance, Sindiso Khumalo of @sindisokhumalo and Bianca Shapiro of @wunders_. Spanning leather, ceramics, fashion and furniture, we’ll be talking about what we inherit, what we challenge and what we choose to put into the world. What deserves preserving? When does tradition hold us back? Who gets the credit, and who does the making? And when we say South African design has a future, whose future are we building? We’d love for you to be part of the conversation. Date: Thursday 22 October 2026 Time: 10:30am to 12pm Venue: Wunders Cape Town Showroom 32 Napier Street, De Waterkant Reserve your place via the link in our bio.

Bid at www.luciedemoyencourt.com starts at 7pm! I made a painting palette 🎨 shell for my contribution! All the work on offer at the auction All the beautiful things! COLOURS! Inspiring my palette 🎨 shell Studio pic About the foundation I made a painting palette 🎨 for my shell - inspired by all the amazing different coloured glazes on offer! I wanted to drill a hole in the side so complete the illusion but Lucie convinced me it was too risky 🪸 So many colours to choose from, and I used all of them! Lucie’s beautiful studio Palette 🎨 process. It is much neater than my normal palette in studio. Amazing talent!
