The story of Shell Space and how it all began almost 2 years ago! Thank you to everyone who has been a part of this journey. You all know who you are. I could not have don’t this without you. ♥️ Thank you to everyone who has run events, created inside here, laughed, played, made friends, made memories and helped keep this shell alive. I started this space but you gave it soul. From the bottom of my heart, thank you. 🪨 A huge thank you to my darling @tomohiko__h and my family for all your support, cleaning, painting, everything. I love you. @sacreflux and Ryan @migraneuse thank you for being there at the very start. And thank you to my darling studio members who have supported this space and helped work more as a team. I can’t believe I found you all. @chqso @jaz_rhodes @andiceramics @maddiokane @kayleighheydon_studio @luna.mqa @zaharalong @unearthlyentity @bugs.hair I can’t wait to see what this happens inside and outside of this shell in the year to come. There’s something about writing a letter to someone who came before you 🤍 I spent last night at @thelostletterclub’s Samhain workshop, honouring our ancestors and connecting with the Irish roots of Halloween. It felt so special to be led in ritual by Jen. Thank you for putting so much heart into it and creating such a beautiful space. by @shellspace__

The Artistic Divine Ceremonial Workshop Sunday 15th November, 10-3 @ Shell Space, Brunswick 🔮🎭📝🎨 Come nurture your inner artistic soul, connect with your intuition, and unleash your full creative potential.✨ This is perfect for you if: 💎You’ve been an artist for awhile now, but you’re feeling a bit stuck, burnout, or hungry for fresh inspiration 💎You are a ‘closet artist’ who secretly wants to become one but you don’t quite know where to start 💎You crave more creativity in your life but don’t want the usual art class format 💎You’re curious about how to bring spirituality and creative expression together 💎You’re just exhausted and want some nurturing and self-love via gentle and powerful creative exercises 💎You’d love to better understand how to channel your intuition into your art & your life 💎You wanna be around arty types and connect more with the broader artistic community ALL ARTISTIC MEDIUMS AND LEVELS OF EXPERIENCE WELCOME. Link in bio. Facilitated by award-winning theatre artist, creative coach, and intuitive guide, Andi Snelling, this workshop weaves together artistic rituals, solo & group exercises, art-making (for you to take home!), and intuitive storytelling.🪄 “Her facilitation is something I’ve never witnessed as beautifully before. I walked away feeling inspired and more connected to my own divine artist within.” — Jennette Coffey (writer, artist, Lost Letter Club facilitator) “Andi is so in tune with her intuition she’s able to catch those things that are creatively blocking you, and creatively flip this with a spicy twist. The workshop was one of a kind.” — Ana Armillas (mural artist, painter) “What a beautiful experience the workshop was. Andi created an environment where there was no pressure to get anything right — just an invitation to explore, create and reconnect. We left feeling inspired and powerful.” — Jennifer Monk (actor, filmmaker, artistic director) “This workshop was so powerful, I never wanted it to end! I walked away feeling more connected to the channel of my inner artistic muse and more inspired to create a regular creative practice.” — Kat Kassab (healer, storyteller, entrepreneur) by @shellspace__

This year, I gave Life Drawing & Writing a chance without knowing what it would become and believing in it anyway. It has changed how I believe in my work, my dreams, and the life I am capable of living. I’ve learnt that consistency doesn’t have to mean daily practice. Sometimes, returning to something monthly is enough to plant a seed, nurture an inner world, and make possible what we might never have otherwise discovered. These gatherings have become a culture I’ve longed to partake in: one that makes room for raw expression, incoherent experimentation, and the courage to become something unfamiliar. And we are that culture. We make it what it is, together. For our final gathering of the year, we began with ‘firsts’ and we will end with the ritual of courage. Our muse is my dear friend @hilarygreen__ , founder and mother of @shellspace__ , who will be posing for the first time amongst women, adorned in earth materials. I would love to have you there. To make room for courage, create something through it, and give the unfamiliar a chance. As always, I love it when I see mothers bring their daughters, old friendships meeting here to rekindle, people bringing a loved one, inviting someone they admire and want to get close to. And coming solo to soak in your inner fortress. Whatever your reason may be, it will be my greatest joy to make place for you. From my heart to yours, Eleanor 🤎 by @shellspace__
One way to use the art ritual is to make it your monthly check in & let the ritual work its magic on you. You don’t have to make art regularly to come, there are no prerequisites. ALL FOR ART, ART FOR ALL! This is a monthly Sunday morning event to process whatever vibe has come up for you this month. All you have to do is show up & be guided by the journey 🩷 by @shellspace__
