Call to Action: As the summer break approaches in NYC, I’m excited to stock my local library with books for children and young adult readers. You may recall that literacy rates tend to decline during the summer due to limited access to reading materials. While we have libraries, not everyone has the opportunity to visit them. I’m committed to providing free books and contributing to the improvement of our literacy rates. If you’re interested in donating, I’ll be accepting contributions through Venmo. No donation too small. If you’re unable to donate, please consider sharing this initiative with others. Thank you for your support! #CurrentlyReading Ghost In The Night by Tiffany D. Jackson. What are you currently reading? Savannah, Georgia, with its mossy trees and ornate old homes, is a place rich in history...and ghosts. Ghosts are what pique Harmony Roundtree’s interest. Still reeling from her losses back home, Harmony wants to believe in ghost stories...but isn’t sure what’s real. When she goes on one of the many ghost tours around town, she takes a photo of what might be a ghost. Or is it a hoax? With two new friends, Harmony sets out to investigate... and stumbles upon clues leading to an unsolved murder. The deeper she digs, the more Harmony realizes that what she saw on the ghost tour might be connected to a shocking crime. But making connections can be dangerous—even more dangerous than ghosts. #ShellysBookCorner #TiffanyDJackson #GhostInTheNight #CurrentlyReading Ghost In The Night by Tiffany D. Jackson. 📚 Book Tour 📚 Thank you for the free book  @bibliolifestyle @harperperennial! Wildwood by Ashley Woo This book seems like a perfect fit for spooky season and I can’t wait to dive in! Have you read this book? Which books are you reading for spooky season? Let’s discuss! About the Book: It seems like divine intervention when newly pregnant and freshly unemployed Elinor unexpectedly inherits Wildwood, her family’s estate. She convinces her husband to move to the sprawling wilderness of rural Vermont to make a home and raise their baby. Estranged from her extended family since childhood, Wildwood is a mystery to Elinor—she’s an outsider to the townsfolk and to the prominent Brook family who control the town and its history. Knowing little of the house or its past, save for snapshots of childhood memories, she becomes entranced by an eerie nineteenth-century mural in the primary bedroom she calls “the Forest of the Dead.” But instead of growing more settled in her new home, Elinor feels increasingly isolated and uneasy. She begins to have dreams that feel like memories, phantasmagorical visions of something terrible that happened long ago. Haunted by the mystery of why her family fell apart, she’s determined to uncover the secrets of her ancestry buried deep in the past and even deeper in the woods . . . secrets kept by powerful forces within the house and within the town. Obsessed with finding the truth, Elinor knows she must answer when “the Forest of the Dead” calls her. Someone wants her to know they were there first, and someone else is trying to get in. As the nightmares creep into her waking hours, Elinor embarks on a journey that takes her back and forth in time, to the dark recesses of memories, to the streets of modern Salem, and to the haunted corners of this otherworldy house. The Forest of the Dead is calling. Can you hear the whispers? #ShellysBookCorner #BiblioLifestyle #Wildwood taken in New York, New York by @shellysbookcorner

📚 Book Review 📚 Thank you @bloomsburyya for the free book. Title: Tell The Ghosts I’m Gone Author: Kalynn Bayron Genre: YA, Paranormal Release Date: Out Now Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ My 💭: Perfect book for spooky season. Loved the theme of found family. Several scenes in this book that creeped me out. Whatever you do don’t Google what a rat king is because you will live to regret it like I did. The ending had me tearing up as well, but it truly made sense for the one character in this book. If you’re a fan of paranormal investigations check out this book! 🎧Audio Review 🎧 Thank you Give Me Books for the alc. Title: The Challenge Author: Penelope Ward Narrators: Desiree Ketchum, Connor Crais Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Narration: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ My 💭: Surprising absolutely no one I loved this book by Penelope Ward. I love the way her stories suck me in and make me never want to leave. Evan and Chloe I just adored them and their little challenges. Effie was adorable as well. This book really reinforces that life is too short to play it safe and it’s okay to take a chance on love. I loved the theme of found family as well. This was my first time ever listening to Desiree Ketchum and she did an amazing job when it came to Chloe! This is my second time listening to Connor Crais and he’s been added to my list of favorite narrators. #ShellysBookCorner #PenelopeWard #AudiobookReview ID: Photo of audiobook cover featuring a white male. 🎧Audio Review 🎧 Thank you Give Me Books for the alc. Audiobook Review Thank you for the alc Give Me Books & Vi Keeland. Title: The Fall Affair Author: Vi Keeland Narrators: Andi Arndt Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Narration: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Tropes: Opposite Attracts, My 💭: Listening to this audiobook made me want to hop on a plane, go to Italy and open up my own bookshop/vineyard! Matteo had all the greenest flags ever. He was very thoughtful and caring even if he was guarded, and I loved how his slower pace of living rubbed off on Allegra. Allegra is a city girl like myself and the grind can definitely wear you out so it was nice to see her slow down and start living. I loved Sophia with her letters and words of wisdom. Narration 💭: The audiobook was duet style which I loved. Andi Arndt can do no wrong as far as I’m concerned. Connor Crais is a new-to-me narrator and I loved his Italian accent. Will definitely listen to more audiobooks by him as well. #ShellysBookCorner #AudiobookReview #ViKeeland ID: Audiobook cover displayed with a white man on the front. 📚 Book Review 📚 Thank you for the free review copies @duttonbooks & @prhaudio Title: The Unkown Author: Riley Sager Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Narration: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Pub Date: Out Now! My 💭: Riley Sager put his foot in this book and I loved how ALL my theories were incorrect. Every single one of them……just wrong. The twists had me gasping and everything. I will say that the book did get a little slow in the middle, but overall this was a good read. Long-time fans of this author will def enjoy this book! I also listened to the audiobook and definitely recommend that as well. Excellent cast of narrators!! #ShellysBookCorner #RileySager ID 1: Book lying on a white comforter.
