Some projects ask for more than creativity ✨

They ask for patience.
They ask for courage.
They ask that you keep going , even when you’re not sure how it will all come together.

This has been one of those projects. I’ve been spending time creating something that I hope will make a real difference.

Sewed it. Packed it. Wore every single piece 🧡

Can we talk about the joy of packing a suitcase full of things you made with your own two hands? Every piece I made for this trip was intentional and I packed them with one job in mind survive the heat… and keep me look good whilst doing it.

Safe to say every piece passed the test 😅

(I actually made all the swimwear for a holiday last year and was not leaving them behind for this one!)

A fitted top and wide leg trousers. My favourite combo 🤎✨

I haven’t done a lot of shirring during my sewing journey but knew I wanted to try it for my holiday. This self drafted top was so quick and easy to make, the perfect piece to pair with these trousers I hacked using Simplicity 8558.

Honestly this outfit understood the assignment because it was cool and comfortable which is just what I needed for a day of sightseeing and shopping!

Giselle in red ❤️

You guys helped me chose the fabric for this make and I couldn’t be more happier with the result.

My spring/summer project plans are all about adding some much needed statement pieces to my wardrobe and this @just_patterns Giselle shirt right here ticks the box! It was the perfect outfit for my last night in Marrakech.

I wanted exaggerated cuffs so added some extra length to them and also to the sleeves. Funny fact…this is actually my second Giselle because the first one I made was too small 😩

Behind the Seams - Pt 1 🏋🏾‍♀️

When people think about the gym they often think about physical transformation. For me the biggest changes have been mental.

The gym has taught me patience when progress feels slow, discipline when motivation disappears and resilience when things get hard.

It’s taught me that showing up consistently matters more than showing up perfectly. Some days I have amazing sessions. Some days I’m counting down the minutes until it’s over 😅 But every workout is a reminder I can do hard things and keep promises i make to myself.

This mindset has shaped so much more than my fitness journey. It’s influenced the way I approach sewing, my career and life in general.

The weights get heavier.
The challenges get bigger.
But somehow so do we.

This is my reminder that investing in yourself is never waste time.

I knew immediately the Carmen Top would have a spot in my wardrobe and my suitcase for my recent vacation.

SEW WITH ME - Holiday Edition ☀️

For my second night out in Marrakech I decided to turn a failed project into something I knew I’d actually wear.

This fabric was originally a bias cut dress inspired by something I saw on Pinterest but unfortunately the remake didn’t quite go to plan. As disappointing as that was this fabric was too beautiful to waste so I decided to rework it into something they felt much more like me.

One of the things sewing has taught me is that not every project has to be a success the first time around. Sometimes a garment just needs a new vision and second chance 🤎

SEW WITH ME ❤️

One of my favourite things to sew for is a holiday and this time around was no different!

Heading to Marrakech I knew it was going to be hot so wanted light fabrics, loose silhouettes and pieces that felt effortless to wear. I also knew I wanted colour and I’m obsessed with this red!!

These McCalls trousers have been on my to sew list since winter and I just knew I had to make them for this holiday! The Simplicity top is a tried and true pattern for me that I’ve made a few times and take on almost every holiday as it’s simple and versatile.

The fabric is a linen look viscose which I picked up from my local @fabriclanduk and I absolutely love the drape! This was the outfit for day one, walking through the gorgeous Marjorelle Garden and going to the YSL museum 😊
