Join us this summer!

Sports performance group training sessions.

Most young athletes don’t hit the gym. And unfortunately, the ones that do, almost always lift like bodybuilders. We aren’t training to get huge. We are training to perform better at our sport.

Your athletes will:
1. Learn how to lift safely
2. Learn which exercises will best transfer to “on field” performance
3. Get stronger
4. Get faster
5. Jump higher
6. Be more resistant to sports related injury

But do you walk the walk?

Social media fitness influencing is a bunch of nonsense. There are very few good accounts out there, and so many fakes.

Regular people, without a background in fitness, who want to get in shape, have no chance at navigating through the bullshit.

Fake ass trainers who don’t actually train any real people. Fake ass personal trainers who cut and paste another trainer’s workouts and pass them off as their own program. Fake ass fitness influencers who have a fitness page with no helpful fitness information, just selfies in cute outfits. Fake ass programmers who sell workouts that they themselves don’t even do. Fake ass fitness coaching gurus that wanna sell a personal trainer on how to grow their business when they personally don’t even have a successful training business!

If you train people, let’s see ‘em. If you program workouts, let’s see who’s benefiting from them. If you sell workouts, let’s see you actually doing them. If you have knowledge, share it. If you are fit, let’s see what you do with your fitness?

Control your calorie intake, control your aesthetics.

Don’t stress.

I’ve been traveling and have been off of my regular training program since April. This is the absolute longest that I’ve ever gone with out regular training.

If you consistently follow a proper training program and have built a foundation of muscle, you won’t lose all of your gainz during an extended period of time off.

Decrease in training time and/or activity level? It’s not complicated at all.

Calorie deficit. Maintain protein intake. Done deal.

Hooked the baby barbell with the heaviest DBs they had for some split squats

This might be my new thing.

Day 2 and I’m hooked.

For over a year I’ve been struggling to find an outlet for all of my energy and anxiety.

I used to run distance and sprints and play rugby to get it all out. But this knee injury hasn’t allowed me to do any of that. It’s been a problem. I need strenuous activity almost daily to feel right.

3 days ago I bought a used mountain bike off of FB marketplace. I found a few trails near my house and gave it a go.

I love being outside with no phone and in nature. I saw a deer today. I really like the punishing climbs. The legs and lungs burning is exactly what I’m looking for.

This might be my new thing.

Rehab isn’t supposed to be comfortable.

I was told by multiple medical “professionals” to take it easy and ice my knee daily. Don’t use heat.

No I didn’t ice it once. No icing doesn’t help it recover. Yes I use heat. Yes heat helps it recover.

I walk and I ride the bike daily. BUT I also do strengthening exercises, and aggressive ROM work too.

The movements should be uncomfortable. It’s perfectly ok to “feel it” in the affected area.

The following day you’ll know if you did too little or too much. And you adapt that day’s protocol accordingly.

Movement is medicine. You’re not as fragile as you think.

Take some accountability.

You feel like crap because of what you eat and drink weekly.

Your lack of exercise and poor sleeping habits are the biggest needle movers in the wrong direction.

Pick one area and start improving your situation today

You did the hard part. You made it there. You walked through the door. Now get off your phone, chat less and do work .

Stop whining about the results you didn’t get from the work you didn’t do

For athletes, the off-season is when real progress in strength, power and speed can be made.

These qualities should be the training priority, with a little sport skill work and conditioning sprinkled in. But not so much as it takes away from the real focus of strength, power and rate of force development.

A proper program sees marked progress in the off-season that is then maintained through the sport season. Then the athlete can continue to progress again in the next off-season with little to no backsliding.

The in-season program should maintain the heavy strength and power stimulus, just with lesser weekly volume. In-season does not mean lighter weights and higher reps. The opposite is the way.

Far too often, sport coaches do not prioritize this and their athletes repeatedly back slide through their sport season, just to then try and get back to where they were before the season began.

This leads to athletes who never progress across multiple seasons.

Bodies are fresher off-season and more capable of progress without the weekly demand of practice hours in their sport.

These training goals are beneficial no matter the sport.

This thing is sick.

Feels so smooth and locked in. You can really load the lower back, glutes and hammies. Like a combo back extension and RDL.

If you can find one, I highly recommend giving it a go.
