A weekend full of dance and DMA friends!

I got to dance with @ellaj_kim and that was the absolute best ❤️🤍💙 I can’t wait to see you again soon. I also got to spend time with Miss Kiana and I’m pretty sure she is the kindest person I have ever met!

Tonight, I am feeling very grateful for dance and just super thankful for all the people that dance has brought into my life! I’m excited to keep working hard and to keep growing.

The perfect photo to capture this boy’s dance season 💚

This is more than just a goal met. This photo represents the literal blood, sweat, and tears that he has poured into his training. The mornings at the ballet barre where he felt like his legs couldn’t do anymore, the conditioning that pushed him past what he thought he could do, the hours of perfecting his solo, the classes that challenged him, the sacrifices he made each week, the focus he maintained, and the prayers for strength and resilience. This boy puts all his faith in God. It’s always been about His timing and the process between the studio and stage. We do not find our worth in a title or award… we find our worth in what God calls us to do and we chase our dreams with a joyful heart. Even through the moments of “not yet” and even through the days of exhaustion, Shepherd stayed true to who he is- faithful, joyful, and determined.

We are so proud of you Shepherd Paul! Your desire to work hard is evident, your light shines, and your charisma is contagious. We are thrilled to get to see you live out one of your dreams this next year!

I am so honored to be able to write and share that I am Junior Mr Dance of America 2027 ❤️🤍💙

I look forward to my week with @dmanational each year and to be able to represent this incredible organization is a dream come true. Thank you to @michelle_msda and to each and every teacher at @millerstreetdanceacademy. I could not have done this without your love and support. Mr. Jamie, @jharv44, thank you for the most perfect solo. I really felt like I was flying on stage!

I am thankful my whole family was with me this past week- they are the best and I love them so much. They have been with me every step of the way.

I am very excited about the year ahead and sharing it with my fellow titleholders. They are all so talented and kind!

To my DMA family… I hope I make you proud in all that I do and represent you well! Thank you for this opportunity.

This past Tuesday was SOOO fun! Thank you to everyone who came and supported Shepherds of Kindness. We raised almost $700 together… wow 💚 My @millerstreetdanceacademy team is the absolute best!

I wish I had a picture of every person there. I am so grateful for each of you! It was awesome seeing Mr. Jamie’s choreography on the big screen. I can’t believe that he is my teacher!

Thank you to the entire @shedancesthemovie and @macaroni.art.productions teams for helping us bring this incredible movie to Charlotte and to @amctheatres for partnering with us. This movie is a must see! by @shepherds_of_kindness

It’s almost showtime! I am so excited to partner with the competition team at @millerstreetdanceacademy and bring the movie, “She Dances”, to Charlotte. Choreographed by Jamie Harvener, we get to have a private showing and raise money for my new scholarship fund for dancers in need 💚

My dance teacher, Miss Michelle, always challenges us to make a difference in our community. She inspires us to give back and to put others before ourselves.

This past month, we teamed up with @cbreastfriends to raise money for The Pink House. This organization helps so many families as they navigate breast cancer, treatment, and recovery. Miss Michelle was a “big wig” for their annual fundraiser since she is a breast cancer survivor. Magnolia and I really enjoyed being ambassadors for @millerstreetdanceacademy and Carolina Breast Friends. We wore our pink “wiglets” everywhere and spread the word about what we were raising money for. We are so grateful for our family and friends who helped donate! Our entire team has raised almost $60,000- WOW!

I love helping others and it makes my heart so happy! I hope each one of you can find a way to give back to your community today. A little kindness goes a long way!

🚀 Shared Sessions Are Changing the Game

What we’ve been able to accomplish with the shared sessions has honestly exceeded even my own expectations. The progress, the focus, the energy in the room. It’s been incredible to witness.

Sheperd went from one on one for weeks to joining our group training at 11 AM and then finishes with a focused 30 minute one on one session with me. That extra time allows us to dial in the details, target specific areas of growth, and reinforce the technique we’re building in the group.

In just two weeks the development has been impeccable. I cannot wait to see where this momentum takes him.

Trying new things can be scary at any age so it always amazes us when Shepherd Paul takes on a new challenge. And that’s exactly what he did this past weekend!

His first experience at @yagp was absolutely incredible! He did an amazing job on both his ballet variation and his contemporary solo. This boy is growing and maturing right in front of our eyes and, as both Mom and teacher, it is a joy to have a front row seat.

Shepherd LOVES to dance and being on stage lights something pretty special inside of him. We are so grateful to be surrounded by an abundance of teachers who love him, encourage him, nurture him, and push him. @akballet_ Thank you for the hours you have poured into these ballet loving dancers! You always go above and beyond and your hard work is appreciated by so many. I am so grateful for your mentorship and guidance as we explore all that the ballet world has to offer. @jharv This year’s piece is so special… after the ups and downs that last year brought, I love seeing our boy find his wings again. @michelle_msda and @millerstreetdanceacademy We couldn’t do any of this without you! We are so appreciative of the opportunities that these dancers are given and for your endless support and love💗

Shepherd was so grateful to be recognized alongside some of the most talented dancers I’ve seen. We certainly don’t take any of it for granted!
