Had fun shooting the Harvard May USPSA match. Took 1st place in CO and 3rd overall. Between this and taking 2nd in CO yesterday at the CCSSEF match I think the Glock 17 gen 5 is here to stay. Welcome to the team, Josh Sherman!

Josh was born and raised in Greater Boston and began his gun-carrying and training journey after landing a job at Cabela’s working the gun counter many years ago. Josh would eventually get hired by the Mass Firearms School in Holliston, MA, where he works now as a supervisor.

In early 2024, Josh discovered the world of practical and competitive shooting, and he hasn’t looked back. Josh competes nearly every weekend, primarily in the United States Prectical Shooting Association (USPSA), where he maintains an “A Class” ranking in the Carry Optics (CO) and Limited Optics (LO) Divisions. You can also find him shooting a variety of other matches in the Practical Carbine Shooting League (PCSL), International Defensive Pistol Association (IDPA), and Galactic Pistol Association (GPA).

Josh has trained with some of the best instructors in the industry, including Brantley Merriam, Tom Castro, and Nick Young. Josh believes competing should be THE guide to improving shooting performance, no matter your profession or reason for carrying a gun.

Josh will lead our “Intro to Competition Pistol” program, focusing primarily on the benefits of USPSA and Hit Factor (HF) scoring in training.

If you’re a regular gun-carrier or LEO and have considered competing but haven’t shot a match yet, get with Josh in 2026! 🙌🏽

Sig Sauer EDC Championship 2025. Took 8th place overall out of about 160 competitors. Great test of my carry gear and was an interesting experience over the last week to put the same effort training but with the little P365. And big thanks to @stephen_gaffney and @cameron_warner816 for not talking too much shit when I face-dived into the hood of the car during my trail run. Looking forward to more EDC matches in the future @sigsauerinc @radianweapons taken in SIG SAUER Academy and Experience Center by @shermanshooting
