“[The knife] nicked me in the hand, shoulder, and the neck,” said Walsh. At the hospital, doctors told Noah Walsh that the knife missed his jugular vein by 1 millimeter.”

It’s a total myth that self-defenders in our state (and other states like it) are “set up for failure” by the courts. If that’s what you FEEL, get over it. It’s just not true.

We’re taking a page out of @rob_assetsonly’s book on this one. Get educated. Stay healthy. Train regularly. Be an asset, not a liability. 💪🏽

@luther_h is a TOP GM-level human, well on his way to being an actual GM. We had a blast training together yesterday. We explored some stuff, learned some stuff, were happy sometimes but mostly very mad and hated everything. 🤣

Most importantly, we both pushed ourselves outside our comfort zones, as indicated by my egregiously long trigger freeze on this run! It’s what’s supposed to happen when you’re trying to keep up with this guy! 🥶

A little rain never hurt anybody! 🥴

This was probably my favorite drill from @joel.park_ this weekend. Couple close mini a-daps, medium-distance c-zone and a medium distance mini a-dap. Looks kinda easy at first glance, but it’s not.

The tendency is to index the gun to the steel, get a “flash of color” on steel, and let it rip; “casino shooting,” as Joel calls it. You can get away with it once, but there’s no consistency in that engagement strategy.

You HAVE to see a floating dot toward the middle of each piece of steel before you let it rip. My steel shooting is a literal coin toss lately… so, I needed this!

Thank you, @velox_training_group and @joel.park_ for three days of great training and a hell of a lot of shooting! 🙌🏽

32 guys went home with a lot of homework and a good understanding of what’s required to get it done. This is the way. 👊🏽

Man… I suck at moving with a rifle 😂

Nothing makes me feel like I’m back at the very beginning of my shooting career quite like putting a rifle in my hands. Everything suddenly feels clunky, awkward, and about 10x harder than it should be.

That being said, I was pretty happy with this stage. Definitely some movement I could smooth out and plenty of time left on the table, but that’s exactly why I need to keep working on it.

More rifle reps. More movement. Less looking like a baby giraffe trying to run a stage. 😂

Back to work before two Gun Nationals!🤘

This weekend was another terrific 👑👑👑 match that I was fortunate to be a part of, and I had an absolute blast shooting the match and working alongside so many wonderful people.
A huge thank you to @johnny_hero_down_ for everything you do to help veterans and officers in need through @hero_down_foundation. Your dedication and commitment truly make a difference.

And thank you to all the volunteers who give their time and energy to support this sport. Your hard work does not go unnoticed!

Why do I love this sport so much? It’s the people. The incredible people who show up, put in the time, help each other, and make this community what it is.

I’m grateful to everyone who gives their time, effort, and passion to make these matches possible. Because of all of you, we get to enjoy this amazing sport. Thank you! 🇺🇸 #shooting #usa #guns

You can tell instantly how well (or terribly) a gun-carrier can shoot based on how that person handles a pistol. Mastering those handles takes zero bullets. Dry practice is the way. 👊🏽

It isn’t hard to bring this kind of training to your PD. The WILL to go learn, explore, and commit for long enough to see it work is all that’s required. Easier said than done, for most… 😈

Totally unrelated: @kr_shooting_ is single-handedly making “red shirts” great again. 🙌🏽
