I’ve been writing poetry since I was a child. I grew up in Lima, Peru, so my first poems were in Spanish. After more than 20 years living in the U.S., something shifted, and the words come to me more easily in English than in Spanish.

When I write, it feels like stepping into the most beautiful dream. I become fully present inside the story, feeling the words as if they were living characters.

Motherhood Is the Portal 🌅

Under my eyes,
dark circles tell the story,
a story of love
written in sleepless nights.

The kind of love
that stretches you
beyond what you thought
you could hold.

Motherhood is the portal.

Where rest becomes a memory
and yet,
you rise anyway.

Where self-care feels distant,
but your heart expands
in ways no solitude ever could.

This is where
pain becomes devotion,
and exhaustion
turns into something sacred.

Where challenges
are not burdens,
but invitations,
to grow,
to soften,
to transform.

Motherhood is the portal.

It teaches you
to see the magic
in the smallest moments.

A soft kiss on your cheek,
tiny hands reaching for you,
a meal made with love,
bare feet in the dirt,
laughter echoing through the yard.

Late nights wrapping gifts,
early mornings wrapped in blankets,
time slipping quietly
through your fingers.

Motherhood is the portal
for going beyond yourself,
for meeting parts of you
you didn’t know existed.

For shining your light
even when you feel undone,
even when you look like shit,
even when you are tired to your bones.

Because somehow,
within the mess,
within the chaos,
within the deep, aching love,

you become more.

More open.
More powerful.
More you.

Motherhood is the portal…
and through it,
you are reborn ♥️

Autumn is one of my favorite seasons. 🍂

There is something magical about feeling the heat slowly melt away, the air beginning to crisp, and watching nature transform before our eyes.

The changing leaves and their breathtaking colors always remind me that we are seasonal beings too.

We move through seasons of blooming and becoming, harvesting and releasing, expansion and rest. Nothing in nature stays the same forever and neither do we.

Autumn reminds us that change can be beautiful. That letting go can be sacred. That there is no need to cling to a version of ourselves whose season has already passed.

So tell me, are you an Autumn person? 🍁

There is so much ground I haven’t covered yet.

But I’m ready now.

Because my mission has become impossible to ignore.

Women, especially mothers, are carrying generations of societal programming that taught us to distrust ourselves, judge one another, and mistake obedience for goodness.

And somehow we’ve reached a place where women shame other women for how they birth, feed, sleep, work, heal, and raise their children.

Enough.

Your motherhood is not a performance.
Your body is not up for debate.
Your instincts do not require permission.

Untame yourself, woman.

Untangle yourself from the conditioning that has pulled you away from your own nature.

You do not owe anyone an explanation for the way you choose to mother, create, love, or live.

Your wildness was never the problem.

It is your medicine.

Today, I am celebrating my 40th birthday ♋️ ✨

This birthday feels especially meaningful. In so many ways, I feel like my life is just beginning—not because I am starting over, but because I am stepping into this new chapter carrying the wisdom of everything I have lived, loved, lost, and learned along the way.

And yet, today is bittersweet.

It is my first birthday without my mother, and my first birthday with my daughter in my arms.

Becoming a mother has given me a new understanding of birthdays. When a child is born, a mother is born too. So today, I realize that this day never belonged only to me. In a way, it was my mother’s birthday too. The day she became my mom.

I imagine her dancing somewhere beyond this life, celebrating with me and watching over her grandchildren.

My mom always made me feel seen. She told me how deeply she loved me. She reminded me that I was beautiful, smart, and capable. She encouraged me to dream big, to believe in myself, and never to settle for less than I deserved.

Now, at 40, with my own daughter in my arms, I understand her love in a way I never could before.

Happy 40th birthday to me, and in some beautiful way, happy birthday to you too, Mom 🤍
