If you’ve met me, we’ve probably talked about Fasting.

I admit - I’m a bit of a zealot, I could talk for hours about the practice - the benefits, methods etc but it turned out it was easier to just write a mini ebook about it.

I’m a huge advocate for Fasting, not because it’s a miracle cure, but somehow after 30 years of dieting I finally found a way to actually eat everything I wanted to eat without the constant yo-yo of losing and gaining weight.

I resolved so many issues in my body, inflammation on my joints, IBS, energy levels, sleep, peri menopause symptoms. More importantly I didn’t have to calorie count, weigh food or check macros everyday just to fuel my body to exist! Who has the f@£king time anyway!

I broke my mental battle with food, I switched off the ‘craven’, ‘fancy something sweet’, boredom, distraction eating. I actually activated my body’s own GLP hormone without a single jab! In fact talking to those on diet injections, I basically have all the benefits that they have without the side effects and £300 a month price tag!

There are many nuances with everything we do in life but it’s simple, eating all through the day is unnecessary, unhealthy and unhelpful to the body.

Fasting is the way to take charge of when you eat so you can actually focus on what you are eating when you do eat. Which is equally important.

Anyway, you can take my word for it or you can read the review because they are in! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The Fast Life is available via the link in my bio and for anyone wanting to explore their fasting journey further - I’m right here! 🩵 by @shiftlifewithdavina

➡️ I never tell you to “manifest” your way out of a life you haven’t actually looked at.

➡️ I never sell you a path to a goal without asking what it’s actually for.

➡️ I never hand you a vision board and call it a strategy.

➡️ I never tell you to be in charge of everything — and forget to ask if you’re in control of anything.

➡️ I never say “just think positive” to a woman who’s exhausted, under-resourced, and doing it alone.

➡️ I never hand you someone else’s definition of success and call it yours.

What I do instead?

🩵 Ask better questions. Ask you to question yourself. Sit in the discomfort with you and then help you find your way through.

🩵 Show you the version of yourself that exists when you trade habits for awareness. Expectations for self trust. Doing for Being.

🩵 Remind you that busy isn’t aligned. Hustle isn’t purpose. Coping isn’t healing.

🩵 Show you clarity and help you find peace with yourself through the fog of life and weight of responsibilities.

🩵 Help you build a life on your terms and embody your Favourite Self.

That’s the work. That’s The Shift.

Beauty Beat is a moment 🩵

A moment to appreciate the beauty of Black women in our shapes, shades and everything in between!

@thebeautybeatevent is not just a place to be colour matched by 5 make up brands (which we did), or get consultations on hair, skin, nails, (which we did) or received THE best bag of goodies ever (which we did). It’s actually a place to feel celebrated as Black, coily haired Queens and not be a monolith even in that space.

I’ve never felt both more individual and unique and special and yet so united and normal and not othered and the same as I do this space! We, Black Women are so different, beautiful and often unseen clumped together in so many different ways and this event is a moment to be celebrate and admire all the things that make us different and yet the same.

I love us so fucking much - our# energy is unmatched and I would come back as a Black woman every time in every lifetime!

Thank you so much @mrsdonnadia for creating an event that makes me feel seen and appreciated and also so normal at the same time. Mummy and I had the best time 🩵🩵🩵 by @shiftlifewithdavina

GUWM - FFG Connect In Conversation with @urbanfinancier - another networking masterclass - Download.

A pleasure to interview the brilliant Franklin Asante and share with again, this time with our FFG Connect community.

As an organisation @forbesfamilygroup have been curating events like this for the past 6 years, long before networking communities like ours were commonplace, it’s good to know just how valuable, sustaining and impactful our rooms and events really are!

Seeing our Connect members elevate and evolve in our rooms, make connections and move amongst each other authentically and interact non transactionally is what happens when networking is elevated and curated by people who know what they’re doing and who care. We are there to advise, guide and lead the energy of the room but they are there to build their own relationships and watching that happen has always been our greatest reward.

In a world of options I’m proud that FFG continues to be a place that provide opportunities where people can network without expectation or pressure and always leave with far more than they imagined.

Have incredible people like Franklin share his wisdom and gems may be why they arrived , but the connections they make in the room, away from the stage is why they return. That and the amazing canapés at the fabulous @lathamwatkins office - what incredible hosts they were!

If you haven’t already - go to @ffgconnect bio link to sign up for membership.

Also where are my face wipe sponsors - come on people, who do we know? by @shiftlifewithdavina

Another gorgeous evening spent with the most wonderful people from our community celebrating our achievements and excellence together with the best of entertainment, food & drink at the beautiful @thepeninsulalondonhotel.

The fact that these awards truly celebrate us all from social impact to sports the business from Lagos to Lewisham is a testament to the work and dedication of @ahughton and the team. An honour to attend and such fabulous, fun, photos to remember an awesome evening.

Despite fighting the worst cold - I’m so pleased I pulled in my glad-rags and showed up!

Loved seeing many of my faves @leika_philips @soniameggie @flavillafongang @_carinawh @pilot__jessicae @antoinedixonbellot @behindtheerg @elsazekeng @leeanne.gee and meeting some new @abenamensa__ @deluxe_manna @simonebaileyward @hannahmgray and looking forward to next year’s Best of Africa awards already! by @shiftlifewithdavina

7 things nobody tells you about building a coaching business from scratch.

One, the day I left my CPO job to coach women, I had no clients. Just a belief I could be of service.

Two, I built the whole thing on what I knew had worked for me personally, not what I could prove conventionally first.

Three, my second marriage showed me power dynamics and fear in my own body in ways my career never had, and pushed me to study the nervous system more deeply than ever before.

Four, I realised if this was happening to me, other women were living it every day. I was hearing them describe the exact same thing.

Five, my core belief became this. Telling a woman to ask for what she wants is not enough. There's so much in the way of her actually doing it.

Six, the biggest surprise? That the whole approach actually worked.

Seven, we're literally swimming through treacle and telling ourselves it's clear water. My job is to show women the treacle.

Comment MORE and I'll tell you how ❤️‍🔥

Introducing our very special fireside guest… Davina! ✨

I have admired Davina’s journey and achievements from afar for a while, so I felt so blessed to finally meet her at @itshumanaf conference a couple of weeks ago (thank you, Hazel!) I’ve had the pleasure of hearing her speak and spending time with her one-to-one, and her wisdom and words of encouragement resonated with me and left me forever changed.

I’m so excited to share some of that with you as she joins me for an intimate fireside chat on rewriting the rules of motherhood. We’ll be talking about putting ourselves first and letting go of the expectations that leave so little room for who we are.

It’s going to be a beautiful conversation, and I would love you to be part of it 🤍

A beautiful night of celebration of everything we are, have come from and can be 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾.

There is nothing more uplifting than being a room of amazing people from all walks of life connected by our origins and understanding that we are a village. Separated and connected by our individuality and differences and united in moments like these when we come together.

A pleasure to attend, a joy to see so many friends and faces and meet new ones too.

Huge congratulations and thanks to @ahughton and the entire @boa_awards team for a fantastic event - and extra shoutout for double courses and no need for Morley’s on the at home 😜🙌🏾🙇🏾‍♀️🩵 by @shiftlifewithdavina

So much talk about 'burnout' right now. Women scrabbling for 'success' and being crushed by it. And why do we hear so little about men burning out? 🤔

I was exhausted. Overwhelmed. Stressed, tired, wired. Full of fear and anger.

But I was also so blessed. So busy. A life overflowing with love, family, friends, opportunities, a business, a marriage.

I just wasn't aligned within it.

Easy to be happy on holiday, stressed at home.
Easy to rest at the weekend, unable to sleep in the week.
Easy to do all the things, never ask for help.
I couldn't function in daily life, but I could be great in moments.

So how is it burnout if I can have a great weekend but dread Mondays?

Sure, burnout is more than stress and tiredness. But a condition that's 'emotionally seasonal' points to something deeper.

Through my own self-work, study and coaching other women, I've found that our inner state has more impact on our lives than any external pressure.

After my mental breakdown, the thing that changed was ME!

My people, my business, my circumstances didn't change first. I did.

I changed how I viewed it all. What I focused on. How I spoke to, treated and connected with myself. Same life, seen and navigated entirely differently.

I started living as my 'Favourite Self'.

Then I watched everything around me respond to her.

If you don't know what you're really feeling, who you really are or where you really are, how can you be your Favourite Self?

Take the M.A.R.C.H. Audit (link in bio) and see where you are.

The UK Black Business Show was amazing on so many levels but the highlight for me was all of the @ffgconnect members who not only took advantage of our complimentary tickets, but who came to thank us, share us and show up for us at the event.

Watching our community grow over the past couple of years has been both inspiring and humbling. Seeing so many come together, learn, grow and connect with each other has been a wonder to behold. Seeing the relationships between our members and our teams, hearing of their triumphs and challenges and helping them aspire in their ambitions and have access to our network has been a huge reward.

We met so many people who had heard of us and it was fantastic to be able to tell them more about FFG Connect and the potential and opportunities it has served our members.

I’m so grateful to the the team especially @amhackettceo and @charlenerichards2026 and @cascadebrown who put their heart and soul into making Connect not just the home of ambition but also expanding our @forbesfamilygroup family to continue to do the good we set out to do 6 years ago.

I know that Dean and @mrs_danielleforbes and I are so proud of the work and effort that goes into making our FFG Conncet community the amazing place it is.

Shout out to our ambassadors @iciethehost @juliademetrioupr @ayeshaaaliyah @empressasari egbemanton @obaro_edobor and the amazing members who make FFG Connect everything we hoped it might be!

Birthdays, Deathdays and Lazy Days Download.

Sunday reflections from my sofa after an epic night celebrating my cousin Deano. A night of ‘Henjoyment’ and Love with some of my favourite people in one of my favourite places in the universe. The Hatch is Unmatched #IYKYK

Today a quiet, slow day filled with enjoying memories of my Dad, two years gone - a year where the grief has been different from the last. This year I felt the grief the version of him before the illness that took so much of him away from us way before his last breath. It has been harder, bittersweet to miss him. Not that ‘relief in him passing to a better place’ feeling any more, more sadness of what he’s not here to share with us.

Honestly - almost every moment in this life we have good and bad is a privilege, every emotion and situation you experience happens because you are here and alive, and one day you won’t be.

So do your best not to let the bad moments become all you feel or dictate your entire day/week/month. To become your mental state - allow yourself time to feel it, acknowledge it and then move through it. How?? Well, seek the joy, seek the love, seek the peace, seek the gratitude in every day and you will find it.

I’m grateful for the memories of my Dad and the connection I have to my cousin bestie Dean through him. I’m grateful@now too he left us on a day that I will always get to celebrate life (Deans B’day) too - what a touch 👊🏾🙌🏾 - cheers Dad 🥂

I’m grateful for every moment not because they are all great, but because I get to be here to have them! Life is the blessing - we just have to acknowledge it.
