Today is the day! The #UrbanFacadeQuilt launches and goes scrappy.

My first, and ultimately favourite, version.

This one showcases the absolute versatility of this pattern. Just one single block created from your favorite scraps.

The simplicity of a single block combined with zero seams to match makes this an easy and fun quilt to pull together.

I have added a Companion Guide to the download which offers tips for all on fabric selection and additional tips on assembly for the newer to quilting.

The pattern is now available in my shop and the link is in the bio.

From subtle on Monday to bold on Thursday … this quilt can span the mood (wait until you see tomorrows’ version!)

I have seen so much conversation on texture on IG lately. While I do love a highly textured quilt, I also know I’m never going to get there on my standard machine.

What I ❤️ about the #UrbanFacadeQuilt is that it provides a perfect graphic 📐 foundation to make my go-to straight-line quilting actually look 👀 sophisticated! (Swipe for a better peak at the quilting 🧵🪡)

Tomorrow is the soft launch — the new website and store front have taken longer than planned. For those of you on my mailing list, the newsletter announcing the new shop and official launch will be forthcoming.

Same colour palette 🎨 entirely different personality ✂️✨

This is the Baby size of the #UrbanFacadeQuilt

This is where the magic of the pattern starts to shine. By shifting down in scale, using slightly lighter colours, and finishing with a dense, textured diamond quilting grid, the entire design takes on a punchier, more dramatic architectural feel.

This is the 2-colour + sashing version.

Tomorrow, I’ll show you what happens when we completely flip the script and move to the opposite end of the colour spectrum.

One shape. Repeated with intention. That is the secret behind this grid. 📐

The locations here tell the Worcester architecture story; here’s a view into the architecture of the quilt. This is the THROW size version of the 3-colour + sashing option (Colours = 2 border, 1 trapezoid and 1 sashing).

Precision matters here … but not perfection. The trapezoid is quite forgiving to piece and so rewarding when assembled. It’s the kind of pattern where the fabric placement does all the heavy lifting for you.

Advanced beginners … this one is for you. And did I mention, this one comes with both a pattern and a guide to help you settle in your favorite design.

One shape. That’s the whole secret.

Every block in this new pattern is built from a single trapezoid; no complicated templates, no fiddly curves. The magic is entirely in how you play with fabric colour and placement. More coming on that this week.
