How fabulous is this? One of our students @shinersview contacted me to thank me for offering the video of a wonderful @scottculleydesign workshop. She designed this horse from scratch after watching the class (using the second photograph as an inspiration). She also created this piece to celebrate her niece being cancer free for 10 years, how lovely is that?

Well done Lisa for creating such a beautiful quilted piece, and thank you again for attending the class 🙏🏻❤️

Besides 8 a.m. Barre class with @susanb.barre, I got my booster shot today, y'all. 😇 Before #cancer, I didn't think about my immune system much. You know what changed that? #COVID19. There's been an unending drumbeat about our compromised immune systems. I intend to do all I can stay around to be a pain in the ass! 😂 Okay. That's all. As you were ... go slay the day!

Finished this Brushstrokes quilt pattern by @shinersview a while back. But got it bound just in time to give to my son as he moved back to San Diego to finish up college (swipe). I used some leftover @pbsfabrics solids from my stash and quite like how it came out! Here's to young adult children getting on with their lives after a crazy year! (But I still miss him...) #brushstrokesquilt #modernquilt

This is a story of a quilt. It was made by me with help of so many. I was searching for a pattern for some time, I'm not a very skilled quilter but I really wanted to make a big quilt for my self. And then I found it :) a #geometricpatchworkquilt by @shinersview.
But first I had to decide on color pallet and purchase some fabric. Thank you @Hawthornesupplyco for great quality and fast shipping.
The pattern is easy and forgiving, the project went smoothly, the top was finished just in a few weeks! Then I got stuck with the backing, didn't know what colors, what texture to choose. Luckily the heart pattern by @moderdomestic popped up in my feed. A few test and errors and it was done.
I decided not to fill the quilt with any batting.
So.. I really loved this project, and I really recommend this pattern 🤍

Today I laid my blocks* out for the first time ❤️ I’m so pleased with my @makoweruk fabrics and @shinersview pattern and can’t wait to get this all made up. *in fact I didn’t lay it all out as it was too big for the living room floor - this is going to a mega quilt!!
