It’s side quest time: HIGHER GROUND with the legend himself WILSON SMITH III @shoeitecture!!!!!!!!

For the 4th recap of THE GATHERING PDX 2026 by @itsthestoriesthatmatter I caught up exclusively with WILSON W. SMITH III 🙏🏽 on a side-quest for AIR MORE UPTEMPO ‘96 (which dropped this past weekend!) & to our surprise, no availabilities, unavailable in-store, not at the employee store or Niketown Portland, sold out online and via footlocker, and overall an incredibly hard shoe to find! But to our luck, with belief in our hearts (and our friends @mikecartell @instyleshoes1999 on the hip! 📲), plus some music jams and prayer in between, I returned home and found our pairs in ROCHESTER, NY! 🙏🏽 & I had to make sure to ship MR. SMITH a pair of his own shoe, can you believe it? 😎🏆🛩️✨ but in all seriousness, I’m beyond words grateful to have enjoyed some one-on-one time with WILSON SMITH III himself, discussing faith, creativity, our relationship with GOD, and the crossovers between music and design/architecture. This trip wouldn’t have been as impactful without this very necessary and humble “side quest” 🏆
