« Published to commemorate the opening of a solo show at the physical gallery turned transitory thought space PALLAS @_p_a_l_l_a_s_ in San Francisco, ‘The Dance of Life’ is both an exhibition catalog and an expansion of the gallery experience itself, containing additional sculptural works, install images, sketches, an essay from writer/designer/multi-modal artist Sara Lopez @_____saralopez and more.

Sigmund Freud, Pompeii, early cave paintings, Clarice Lispector, doing taxes, The Last Supper — a trans-millennial current of references appear in the work, dimensional images that depict these people, places and events literally. The uniform rendering of these sculptures in fired raw ceramic, however, collapses the eons between seemingly disparate events in time. »

Introducing the Appliqué de Lys sconce

The first object from Éditions, Appliqué de Lys is a modernist form inspired by fleur de lis ornament, lilting petals and the possibilities of an open book

The fixture features two precisely machined symmetrical plates that cover and reflect twin bulbs, casting a radius of soft light across the wall

Made of natural brushed aluminum, the surface is left untreated to develop a subtle patina over time

Appliqué de Lys is a collaboration between Andrew J.S. of Éditions and industrial designer Ford Bostwick, originally made for the office of cult perfumer Régime des Fleurs

Each sconce is made to order, HOWEVER we have three on hand ready for immediate delivery — a perfect holiday gift for the overhead light disliker in your life
