Community Walk Audit

In 2024 we asked for the communities option via a survey

In 2025 we worked with @_emmakate98_ and @highlandplanning to create an ARC GIS walk audit for Monroe Avenue. We worked in groups to cover the entire city wide Monroe Avenue corridor collecting data points our community wanted to get more information on.

In 2026 we shared those results with our community and organized another audit for some follow up details and data points..

So what comes next?

MARC (The Monroe Avenue Revitalization Coalition) is working to put those data points to use. Identifying projects, applying for grants, and getting community engaged.

Big things take time. & we are so grateful for everyone’s continued contributions to the vitality of our community. taken in Rochester, New York by @shopsmall_monroe

A great Saturday was had!!

On the precipice of the upcoming weekend, I’m thinking about this past Saturday’s full day of events. So much to celebrate, from anniversary milestones, a grand opening, a community barbecue, East Ave Fest, and exceeding our hands-only CPR training goal.

Such a joy to spend time with some of the best people across our great city!! taken in Rochester, New York by @shopsmall_monroe

We have A LOT to celebrate this Saturday on Monroe.

Can you believe that @newyorkstyleefashions has been serving up looks for THIRTY YEARS on Monroe Avenue?!

Not to mention, @psp_monroeaveny has been living in all your family pets now for TEN YEARS!

And what better way to celebrate some staple businesses on the Avenue than to celebrate some new businesses on the Avenue?!

Both @blueprinttattoo_collective & @gracecaribbeangrill will be celebrating their Grand Opening this weekend as well.

So if you love small businesses, there is no better way to show your support than to come down to Monroe Avenue this weekend to celebrate them!

We had lunch at @hannoodlebar 📍600 Monroe Ave #rochesterny yesterday. Everything we had was so delicious and flavorful. Portions are great and prices are reasonable. First time to the new location. Love the open kitchen concept. Restaurant looks clean and neat. They have so many lucky kitties at the front counter #manekineko 😂😂😂 so cute!!

Have you been there before? Is it worth to check it out. Highly recommended!!
