Beijing Diaries 3

Met one of my close friends from Aussie and we went into the temple to take pictures and just discuss about the knowledge we’ve gained since we last met.

That very day we almost got scammed by a shady rickshaw driver and we went around tian an men square cycling in our rental bikes!

Hands down a super memorable trip! I am so glad I could get in touch with my creative side again

Beijing Diaries 2

Uncles smoking 🚬

After hitting the ground running the first few days, I finally got 40 precious minutes to myself and went around snapping the locals at the main streets.

It’s been awhile since I’ve done street! The dopamine hit when you’ve realised you got the shot is something special taken in Beijing, China by @shotsbysoon

Yukai and I travelled to Venice without knowing it was carnival festival. To our shock, there were so many tourists in the city Center with people throwing glitter everywhere.

In the sea of adults, I was able to find this kid enjoying himself.
.
The next 2 pictures was when I came back to Venice with Adhika and we loved this restaurant so much we visited twice, I nervously asked the waiter if I could take his portrait and there’s the result! Need to work on my positioning still but his emotions shine through the photo!

Found this alleyway with Adhika, and just saw this beautiful framing with the sun shining down!

Spent 10 mins just patiently waiting for the right subject to pass by which finally led to this shot

Venice…. Had the privilege to come here twice and capture their amazing people and infrastructure on film. Caught this stylist grandma decked out in full red while doing groceries 😂

• Ana Maria •

I was solo tripping around Sintra, Portugal and met this lovely 85-year-old lady!

I was trying to get nice pictures of the people, and her dog ran up to me, and I started playing with him! Not long after, she signalled for me to sit beside her and chat.

We started talking about dogs and how she has led her life! She could speak Portuguese, Spanish and English, and taught kids with disabilities from blindness to autism.

She was living in a huge house on the hill yet was so humble and kind-hearted. Ana Maria reminded me so much of my late great-grandmother, who was a strong woman who always communicated with compassion and kindness.

I wish you the best of health, and thanks for allowing this nervous boy to take your portrait. taken in Sintra, Portugal by @shotsbysoon
