$15,000. No equity. No repayment. And nine months of people who actually help.

That's the Community Enterprise Accelerator (@CEA_Bronx), a Bronx-based nonprofit fellowship that gives established Bronx entrepreneurs grant funding, coaching, and connections to grow their businesses.

@FromTheBronx is wrapping its fellowship this month as part of Cohort 3 alongside @Monshe.Life, @LR2Studio, @TereseSydonna, and @PinStripeIT. Weekly coaching, mastermind sessions with the other fellows, mentors from M&T Bank and @nypacentrepreneurs, and monthly events with the people who actually move things in The Bronx. It's the kind of support small Bronx businesses usually have to pay someone for.

Cohort 4 applications have been extended to September 14.

You're eligible if you:
💥 Own a for-profit business operating primarily in The Bronx
💥 Have been in business at least one year
💥 Have done over $75K in total sales

Apply at ceabx.org/apply (link in bio). If you know someone who should be in Cohort 4, tag them. Take your business From The Bronx to The World!! taken in The Bronx by @shottinyc

Archive 2022 w @_charysh - Question: How do you know when you’ve made a great portrait of someone?
Is it technical? Is it emotional? How do you make your selections?

Singer @pher510 circa 2015. Made this in my apartment studio (LR1) against a painted chalkboard wall. Anything is possible! We was getting it out the mud back then. taken in LR2 PHOTO STUDlO- BRONX by @shottinyc

We’re plotting the next LR2 photo walk 👀

Not the regular “meet up and take pics” kind... We need a vibe, a theme, a little chaos even type ish

Drop a comment and tell us what kind of photo walk you want to see next. Best idea might actually become the NEXT ONE!

Then boom. World DOMINATION 💪🏾😤🤯 taken in LR2 PHOTO STUDlO- BRONX by @shottinyc

When @willsamav1 asked me to take some digitals and fitness photos of him I wanted to say no. My mental health was on a sharp decline from the last few weeks. I had imposter syndrome because most of the recent assignments I’ve had have paid well but haven’t pushed me creatively or let me have free reign, so I wasn’t sure if I could even motivate myself to think creatively with no stakes attached.

I decided to say “yes” and just try to have fun experimenting. I almost forgot that I actually know how to light my own images. I told Will how happy I was to do something for me (even though it was for him 😩😂) and thanked him for bringing me out of a stupid funk.

We always forget to take our own advice sometimes.

I didn’t get a BTS of this lighting setup but I can easily explain it. If you’re interested let me know wit a comment or something.
