Delighted to see one agency used two of my favorite Japanese artists of the time, Pater Sato and Seiichi Hayashi on slide 14 ❤️ I love all these bold colors as well as the pastels 🥹✨ no idea what anyone is selling but I’ll buy it!!

Kur palace! One of the most grand and luxurious (kitschy) baths you can take! Grecian statues, rococo lockers, gold lions, massage chairs, chaise lounge chairs, fashion magazines, grand rugs in a Chiba sento ✨♨️✨ for those who like to bathe in style and also need lots to look at (great for those who love ispy games)

A batch of electronics/machines ads from the 1985 annual Ad productions in Japan book! Found a Sorayama Hajime collab with National. Lots of boom boxes, an airbrush image of dolphins jumping through a floppy disk (so vaporwave) and apparently that last ad is for video cameras (look what you can film with a camera!) surely it was not taken with the actual camera.

Also would love to know WHAT DO YOU WANT? as in, which Toshiba washe/dryer color would you choose? Sweet blue? Sweet green?

I have 12 of these books and sooo much to share, I’ll try to keep on top of it plus mix in more locations, I’m so excited about this treasure trove, I hope it will inspire your future design choices.

There was like 8 people waiting on the bridge to take photos of this corner, it’s become a crowded photo spot now. And that’s ok, because we all want to preserve precious neon and sunsets with our cameras before it all disappears. Arrive early to watch the sunset before the final sign turns on at dusk, and ponder your precious existence 🤳🌇

I know everyone loves the Hatoya Hotel Hall but no one was more excited than me to get this shot of it being vacummed. and I can't even spell vaccum. 👁️ This feels like a behind the scenes and I love seeing behind the facade. 👀⁠

Sun Hatoya Hotel (there's another Hatoya Hotel did you know, it's on the water) had this amazing red carpet that was both hypnotizing but also could be in a horror film. A stylish one, obviously. ☀ ⁠
