Over a past couple of years,my life has been like a full on roller coaster.There was a lot of physical, mental and emotional pain that I went through.On October 5th 2021 I was diagnosed with a stage 4 cancer , i knew that if I allowed fear to overtake me my journey was doomed.I feel extremely grateful to have such a great support from my family and friends specially my aunt. I don’t think I would have made it till here without their support. Sometimes it felt like cancer took everything I’ve had to push past it, a minute to minute battle with myself.I got through it knowing that even though I was fighting a long drawn out draining battle. It was one that was worth the fight.
I allowed myself to cry, to feel the pain , to indulge in self pity for a short while . Only you know what you’re going through and it’s fine to accept it.
So, after one year in remission, on March 24, 2023 my cancer came back again. Sometimes I ask god why me??? then I remembered “ God gives his toughest battle to his strongest soldiers “lol
And at this point I am like “it is what it is” so here I am sharing my journey with all of you. I hope I can inspire any one of you. I would also love to connect with people who are going through the same battle as I am.

This morning, I was on my way to my mammogram, singing in my car, feeling happy and carefree. I had no idea how quickly that feeling would change. A little later, I heard the words, ‘you have a lump'.

As a cancer survivor, that news brought back feelings I know all too well the fear, the uncertainty, and the thoughts I never wanted to revisit.

Survivorship isn’t just about celebrating being cancer-free. For me, it also means learning how to live with the anxiety that comes with every new test and unexpected change while still trying to find joy in the present.

I’m sharing this because I want to be honest about the parts of survivorship people don’t always see. I can be grateful, strong, and hopeful and still be scared.

Please don’t take your health, your loved ones, or the ordinary moments for granted. Life can change in an instant, and tomorrow is never promised. ❤️#cancer #cancerawareness #breastcancerawareness #fyp #lifeaftercancer taken in Johns Hopkins Hospital by @shribina
