Some weddings are elegant. Some are full of energy. Rachel & Joshua’s managed to be both!

From the moment I arrived until the dance floor was in full swing, there was never a quiet moment. Just so much laughter, happy tears, hugs and people genuinely having the best time!

Ripple Court Estate couldn’t have suited them better. Gorgeous, stylish, relaxed and filled with the people they love most.

These are the weddings I love photographing. Beautiful, yes, but never at the expense of real emotion. The quiet moments, the wild dance floor, the in-between glances, and everything that makes a wedding feel unmistakably yours.

You don’t need to spend every minute of your wedding day trying to look perfect 🤍

Some of my favourite photos of brides begin with movement. A little laughter. The odd blurry frame. A dress that’s far too fun not to hide behind!

The portrait might be the one that ends up on your wall. The moments before it are the ones that take you back.

It’s the blurry laugh, the seconds in between, and the photographs you never planned that bring you straight back to how it felt.

It’s never just about taking the photo. It’s about seeing what it could become.

Most people never see what happens after I press the shutter.

If you want to know what a real wedding really feels like, don’t look for the posed portraits. Look for the laughter.

Not the polite smiles for the camera, but the kind that bubbles over unexpectedly. The head-thrown-back, eyes-squeezed-shut, can’t-catch-your-breath kind of laughter.
Beth & Dan’s wedding was full of it!
It flowed through every part of the day, from seeing each other, to hugs with friends they hadn’t seen in years, to stories shared over dinner and moments that no one could have planned.
Those are the photographs that stay with you. The ones that don’t just remind you what the day looked like, but exactly how it felt.
A joyful day from beginning to end, and such a privilege to document it 💗

One of the biggest pieces of marketing advice photographers receive is to constantly create content while they’re working.
📸 More behind-the-scenes
📸 More filming
📸 More documenting the documenting

And whilst I completely understand why, I’ve always struggled with the idea that my attention should be split between serving my couples and creating content for myself.

When I’m photographing a wedding, my focus is on the people who trusted me with one of the most important days of their lives.
💗 The subtle wiping away of a tear
💗 Friends and family laughing together
💗 The quiet moments that happen when nobody else is paying attention

Those moments don’t wait while I set up a behind-the-scenes clip.

Of course, I still share my work and love connecting with couples online. But on a wedding day, my priority has always been the experience I’m providing and the memories I’m preserving.

Your wedding happens once.
The Instagram reel can wait.

Nervous about being in front of the camera on your wedding day? An engagement shoot is a great way to see what’s it’s like and realise that, with the right photographer (eh hem… me!) it’s actually really good fun!

Chris and Charlie really relaxed into their shoot and I cannot wait to capture their wedding day this October! And you just know it’s going to be a stylish occasion as they put so much thought into their coordinating outfits for this session!

What morning prep photos are actually for!

They’re not about getting as many photos as possible (the number of photos is not equal to the value of your gallery! More on that another time!)

They’re about reflecting the importance of the day and telling the story of how it all started.

So no, I won’t take photos of the croissants, or the make up brushes, or even every tiny detail of the getting ready process.

What I will do is skilfully photograph the moments that reflect the significance of this electric time in an artistic and chic way.

So when you look back, you will feel all those beautiful butterflies all over again! 🦋
