It was a wonderful and enriching experience to intern with Society for Integrated Development Activities, Research and Training (SIDART) from April 19 to May 4, 2022. Under the guidance of Dr. Pramila Sanjaya, I had the opportunity to gain practical exposure to POSH (Prevention of Sexual Harassment), PSEA (Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse), women’s rights, legal awareness, and human rights through research, workplace interviews, field visits, police station visits, stakeholder interactions, and community outreach programmes. The entire SIDART team was extremely cooperative and supportive, making this internship a meaningful learning experience at an early stage of my legal journey. I am truly grateful to SIDART and my mentor Dr Pramila for providing me with such valuable practical exposure, which continues to be an important part of my professional journey. I would highly recommend SIDART to students looking for meaningful field-based learning and practical exposure. by @sidartngo

- SIDART is currently undertaking a research study to understand the experiences of women during menopause, with a particular focus on menopausal symptomatology, coping strategies, and the influence of demographic factors such as age, education, socioeconomic status, occupation, and family structure on these experiences.
- The study aims to generate evidence that can contribute to a better understanding of women's health needs during the menopausal transition and support the development of contextually relevant interventions and awareness initiatives.
- Today marked the first day of data collection, during which qualitative interviews were conducted with women residing in urban slum communities to explore their lived experiences of menopause.
- The research is being carried out by Jahnavi Dayama, a graduate with a major in Psychology, under the guidance of Dr. Pramila Sanjaya, with the support of the other members of SIDART.
- Through an in-depth qualitative approach, the study seeks to capture the diverse realities of menopausal women and examine how demographic differences shape their symptoms, perceptions, and coping mechanisms. by @sidartngo
