Hey Friends!! Here’s an overdue update on my collection:

Not only have I gathered a decent collection of costumes ranging from basics to gowns, I’ve got LOTS of new inventory to share…. FOR FREE!

I’ve decided that trying to start an operational business is much more than I can handle at the moment, so from now on, my collection will be here as a free resource for film students.

I know the semester just ended, but if you’ve got a passion project over the summer or are trying to get a head start in developing your next film, feel free to reach out!

Students deserve more resources to lower costs and waste for their films, and I want to provide as much as I can because this community of young creatives will always mean the world to me🫶🫶 by @sierrabierra.pd

The process of bringing “Carthage” to life was an incredibly fulfilling challenge. Because it is based on a true story, there was an added layer of pressure to do everything I could to do their story justice. I couldn’t be more happy with how it turned out. I’m so grateful to have been able to part of it and for all the people who made it possible❤️

Take a look at some of my favorite and most frequently used pieces in my collection! I do my best to collect the essentials (wall art, practical lighting, and curtains), but I can’t help but add some extra cool and niche things to my inventory.

I am SO EXCITED to announce the launch of Thrifter’s Prop Stock!

Throughout my PD journey, my least favorite part has been the amount of waste a single project could generate. Without a place to rent from, though, I wouldn’t have a more sustainable source of props, set decorations or costumes. Over a year ago, I started collecting things with the goal of starting a business that gave fellow aspiring PD’s a resource that I wish I had as well as making Austin’s student film economy a little more circular.

Not only can students rent from me at flexible rates based on budget, but they can also donate used set pieces that could be reused rather than end up in the landfill.

I took a break from filmmaking this semester to focus on school, and I got to take an art class for the first time since middle school.

Drawing has been something I’ve wanted to get better at since it’s super useful for a PD career and is not a skill I’ve been able to develop in recent years. It’s safe to say that before this semester, I didn’t know I could draw like this.

I put so many hours into each piece which allowed me to learn and grow as an artist. The portrait of @auroramusic was the final and best piece. I had so much more confidence when approaching this concept and so much comfort in being able to highlight her as a huge source of creative and philosophical inspiration for me.

I’m very proud of all of these works, and I hope you all enjoy them as much as I do☺️ by @sierrabierra.pd

And another feature in the books🥳🥳

Doing Production Design for “Dialing Death” was a very fun challenge and also made me feel a little old now knowing a film that takes place in 2003 is in fact a ‘period piece’.
