Bartender, has it really been two months since my last #cumtrastsmoothie 🥴

So many fears and emotions come with getting a check up/in #ctscan to see how your tumors are doing ( SWIPE <— )

1) Chugging the first contrast smoothie 😐
2) Tearing up. After the nurse blew two iv’s and had to call in another nurse 😭
3) Smiling because I can do hard things && it’s over

NO GROWTH on old or current tumors🦄😭🦄😭#saywhat we are going to continue on the break for two more months and rescan in August! —

My cancer journey has been a roller coaster from the beginning and right now I’m standing at the very top screaming HELLLLL YEAH #fuckcancer —

I know that one day there will be new growth and I will face it whenever it comes but for now I’m going to enjoy this 2 month “freedom” break with no #chemotherapy —

Hey bartender, I didn’t order these but I guess my oncologist did 🍻🙃

I know there are some rumors going around about my #cancerlife and I’m here to tell you that they’re true. —
—
Back in March I had a Inguinal lymphadenectomy which turned out to be new growth so I got kicked off Nivolamad, the trial drug. (( that was shrinking / making other tumors disappear, btw )) —
—
Fast forward a few weeks, I then lost my job with insurance from the #covid pandemic. My oncologist decided it was best to take a break until my insurance situation was decided, while also waiting to see how #dallastexas was going to be affected by the #virus. 😷 Today is the DAYYY, to check in && see how my body reacted to this three month break. —
—

Time for my 3-month #checkup of my chest, abdomen, and pelvis #photoshoottime —

I love starting my day with not one but two bottles of #barium for #breakfast. normally I chug it down but when it was time to chug the second one it got warm and super thick so I had to spit 👅 #cumtrast —

With this week being #thanksgiving && my #treatmentweek 🖕🏿🎗 you could say the #cancercenter looked very similar to the #grocerystores (( I helped my mom shop yesterday && good lord 🙀 )) It’s madness trying to get every patient treated before or after #theholiday . I was lucky enough to get scheduled two days early, instead of the day after like a lot of people I know. I mean hello, #blackfridayshopping 🙄🙄 #yeahright, I’ll be so happy when that’s over with. —

Some of you may just see this as the #holidayseason but for most of us with chronic illnesses #cancerneversleeps and it could really careless what #holiday it is. —
—
So to make sure my #anxiety didn’t take over on one of the craziest days at #utsouthwestern. I brought my #emotionalsupportdog ((my #shihtzu named #kitkat)) to the #infusion center && there’s nothing like seeing everyone light up once they realize who is in my backpack 💕💕 —

So I spent the morning watching #disneyplus && #chillin with my #bestfriend all while #kickingcancersass and now we are laying in bed about to take a much needed nap. Until next time #instafamily 💋💋 —-
