Every once and a while I’m reminded of the tricks of my trade. Everything isnt deep but little things add up. I was reminded of two things recently during an on location photo session.. 1. Bigger Groups require more structure and placement 2. Always take advantage of using additional lighting on location. Small things but easily something that can change the process and post production for a photoshoot! Lessons learned 🀭 the more intentional the seamless the process becomes. Lessons learned 🀭... any suggestions for a wireless strobe I’m in research mode #photographytipsandtricks #phototalk #okcphotographer #okclocal sightofshe taken in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma by @sightofshe

Sessions on Sessions is back!! This one walks through the logo process from first sketch to final mark. What got tested, what got cut, and the thinking behind the final call. I’ve been listening to Eris The Planet, an upcoming artist and I had a few ideas ⭐️ Which ones your fave? #logodesigning #designprocess #eristheplanet #sightofshe #graphicdesigner by @sightofshe

Recently I got an opportunity to create a wordmark for an amazing artist, @anysiakym. With a sound that resists labels, the identity needed to be distinct. Swipe to see the process & of course go check out her discography! ⭐️ #wordmarklogo #logodesign #musicbranding #brandidentity #graphicdesigner Anysia Kym Wordmark process by @sightofshe

The power & risk that comes with a rebrand. Tsk tsk, no easy feat. I’ve been doing more brand research and studying overall with why these rebrands come about and how impactful can they be..πŸ’ Recently we seen @crackerbarrel attempt a rebrand that didn’t really land with their audience but was quickly resolved as they heard the critiques. It was amazing to see such an outpour of chat due to a simple logo change. Something we’ve seen before but I don’t think I’ve seen the haste in resolution as quick as Cracker Barrel did. & if I missed it, this one is surely going down in history as far as a logo reveals. Though I believe there’s a lesson in this, it begs the question are rebrands necessary or is it too risky? & how should you approach it if you are wanting to do one.. Introducing Sessions on Sessions, a mini series that focuses on photo, design, & art topics. Dos & Donts, Love & hates, and simply put - opening up the floor for dialogue. Think of it as a culture check in - Nothing deep but always creative, and real. On the first episode I’ll be touching on a concept a lot of #graphicdesigners are struggling to grasp as our new normal…but how long will this era last? Like many, things evolve and sometimes even return. What’s a topic you’d like me to discuss ?? Comment below if you not scurred ⬇️ #graphicdesigncommunity #creativesofinstagram #creativetalk #sessionsonsessions #photographersofig #artcommunity #okcartist #sightofshe #creativecommunities #okcphotographer taken in Oklahoma by @sightofshe

The staying up late, the fine tuning assets, the moodboarding and planning out things.
