Happy Women’s History Month! Allow us to reintroduce ourselves…

We’re Sightseer Coffee 🦸‍♀️ We’re a small team of women who source and roast coffee exclusively grown by women. Which means our supply chain is basically just… ladies making great decisions 😌

Our goal is pretty simple: make delicious coffee, and support traceability, fair pay, and gender equity from crop to cup.

Women produce a HUGE percentage of the world’s coffee, but historically they’ve had less access to land, financing, and market opportunities. So Sightseer is our attempt to shift that equation a little.

Two beans, one journey. ☕🍫

Many people asked us about the difference and similarity between single origin coffee and single origin cacao. Last month, Liang chatted with Sightseer’s roaster Emary and here is a summary of the similar journey of the two beans.

Cacao and coffee share more in common than you might think. Grown in the same equatorial belt, often on the same farms, both beans go through a similar journey: fermenting, drying, sorting, and roasting before becoming something we love.

✨NEW COFFEE ALERT: Rosebella Kenya✨

This gorgeous coffee is an experimental micro-lot from Dr. Rosebella Langat of Chepsangor Hills Estate in Nandi Hills, Kenya 🇰🇪

Developed alongside coffee fermentation whiz @lluciasolis, this harvest spent 48 hours in a controlled Saccharomyces yeast fermentation! What does that mean?? It means this coffee is SCIENCE, baby! Women in STEM and all that jazz 🧬🧬🧬

We taste tropical fruit and black tea, with a warm baking spice aroma and a finish that tastes uncannily like actual pineapple upside down cake (we don’t make the rules, we just taste them).
