Is Austin the best coffee city in the U.S.? ☕️

That’s what we wanted to know ahead of @austincoffeefest this weekend.

Michael Vaclav from @mediciroasting and Sara Gibson from @sightseercoffee joined the City Cast Austin podcast to debate.

And Sara makes a strong case for why Austin is the best! 🏆

“Everything you could want, you can find it here,” Sara tells City Cast Austin. “You could make any coffee person happy in this town. So yeah, we’re the best.”

What are your fav coffee shops?

Go and buy this coffee. It’s a win-win—you enjoy some delicious coffee while supporting the mental health and well-being of women coffee farmers in Colombia 🇨🇴.

Two beans, one journey. ☕🍫

Many people asked us about the difference and similarity between single origin coffee and single origin cacao. Last month, Liang chatted with Sightseer’s roaster Emary and here is a summary of the similar journey of the two beans.

Cacao and coffee share more in common than you might think. Grown in the same equatorial belt, often on the same farms, both beans go through a similar journey: fermenting, drying, sorting, and roasting before becoming something we love.

From bean to bar to your morning brew, it’s all about the process.

Find us at coffee festivals across the country this fall!

☕💙 Our October Give-Back Campaign is here!
This month, 9 coffee roasters in 4 countries are joining us to close an invisible gap: access to mental health support for women coffee farmers in Colombia.
A huge THANK YOU to our partners for believing in this work:
🇩🇪 Vote Coffee
🇺🇸 Big Shoulders Coffee
🇺🇸 Little Waves Coffee Roasters
🇺🇸 Estellar Coffee
🇺🇸 Goodman Coffee Roasters
🇦🇹 Kaffeefabrik
🇦🇺 Kwila Coffee
🇺🇸 Sightseer Coffee Roasters
🇺🇸 Swelter Coffee

Here’s how you can help 👉 swipe through, find a roaster near you (or one that ships to you), and buy the participating coffee or drink this October. Every purchase sends part of the sale to SANA’s mental health programs.

Can’t buy this month? Share this post with a coffee lover. That helps too 💌
Starting on International Coffee Day (Oct 1) and running through World Mental Health Day (Oct 10) and the rest of the month. Because access to mental health care shouldn’t depend on where you live.

AUSTIN COFFEE FESTIVAL

We’re back.

On October 17 + 18, Haciendo will be posted up in a corner booth at Palmer Events Center, and we’re bringing some things you won’t want to miss.

We’ll be pouring samples of ’Dillo Lattes, bringing some exotic coffees we’ve been saving for the occasion, dropping exclusive merch, and giving away a limited run of stickers while they last.

And Billy, our co-owner and roaster, is hitting the stage for “It’s Easy to Roast Coffee, Right?” alongside some longtime Texas coffee folks to talk about what actually goes into roasting coffee and what they’ve learned along the way.

We’ve been part of Austin Coffee Festival for a few years now, but we’re going a little bigger this time. So come find the Haciendo corner. Try some coffee. Grab the stuff you can’t get anywhere else. Hang out with us.

Happy National Coffee Day! ☕️✨ We paired our favorite coffee-colored vintage jewelry - rich espresso browns, creamy neutrals, warm caramel, and plenty of gold - with a little tour of our favorite locally owned coffee spots.

Cheers to @sightseercoffee, @bouldincreekcafeatx , @onceovercoffee, and for keeping Austin caffeinated and charming.

Because the best things are locally owned, thoughtfully made, and accessorized with vintage jewelry. 🤎
