#MeetTheGallery — We’re delighted to welcome @spectagallery back to Charlottenborg for #CHART2026, where the gallery returns to the Main Section.

For CHART 2026 SPECTA brings together works by three artists exploring original approaches to a variety of materials. Combining crafts with distinct materials more often found in other fields of work and various industries, the presentation includes works which are both stringent and organic.

The presentation presents work by Signe Jais (@signe_jais), Isabel Berglund (@isabel_berglund), and Frances Goodman (@fjgoodman), foregrounding material-based practices, where craftsmanship, technique, and process are not only tools but forms of knowledge in themselves and where crafting is understood as a mode of thinking and of experience. In a time marked by acceleration and digital abstraction, the works insist on tactility and on the patience of a time consuming process.

Get @reshare_app • @spectagallery We are in the final days of "The Sound of a Line", a solo exhibition by Signe Jais.

Come by to see it, and join us for the finissage on Saturday from 11:00- 16:00!

Signe Jais is inspired by descriptive geometry. Being a method for translating depth and spatiality into drawing, the works are not necessarily depicting strictly correct geometry but focus on the space and movement that a flat drawing can reveal.

Already in her choice of materials, Jais leads us away from the two-dimensional and from bare facts. She uses both old and new paper, awakening our senses and memory. To this tactile paper, Signe Jais adds sewing thread in various colors; and although the threads function as simple lines, the works become three-dimensional objects.
