New author photo.

My new novel, THE TULIP POPLARS, comes out October 13 so we’re gearing up for its release. The gorgeous book cover will be revealed very soon. In the meantime, I was happy to be photographed by the intuitive photographer Matt Johnson for the book’s publicity. I look like I could be sitting in one of the scenes from the novel, which I like to describe as a literary Heated Rivalry set in Eastern Kentucky, New York City, and Lexington over the course of the 20th century.

Three clips of the show closer, when the whole room sang the national anthem of homesickness and a lament for the land, “Paradise”, by the great John Prine at the book launch for THE TULIP POPLARS. I had goosebumps the whole time. Thank you and much love to everyone.

It’s hard to express how grateful I am to everyone who came to our sold out show at The Burl last night. It was truly a special evening because of the audience and the artists who stood on that stage with me to welcome in THE TULIP POPLARS. I love you all forever.
